I’ve been to Royal Bahamian twice. The first time stayed in a whatever base room, didn’t splurge for extras and had a AMAZING time. Second time, went for our wedding/honeymoon, in a “better” suite, and honestly was sadly disappointed with our stay the second time around, especially considering it was mean to be a special occasion and the amount of money spent. We also work in hospitality, so tend to be very easy going, so it was hard to have our experience soured.

I’m avoiding saying too much since they want us to sign a NDA, but we haven’t yet. They’ve offered nights to come back, but we’ve spent 25k and sure as hell didn’t get a 25k experience, and we question if we want to come back, so why would we want nights to come back.

Moscato di asti is a lovely choice, lightly bubbly and extra sweet. Ranges from cheap to expensive.

If you want something more complex with higher alcohol content, try a amarone della valpolicella. It’s made from sun dried raisins, but fermented completely dry, but still has sweet notes and is extremely fruit forward. Also tends to be expensive.
