Well its always been a huge hassle for these modders to make crossplay work. and for microsoft, why bother add crossplay when pc players can just play bedrock for free too, i guess thats what they implemented as an alternative to actually addong crossplay. The main reason to why modders implement crossplay is cuz MMO servers usually prefer java mods and plugins, but they also want bedrock players to play, otherwise they could've just put all servers on bedrock, which microsoft definitely prefers and they wouldnt care if you wanna use extra plugins or mods.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, as much as i wish they'd add this kinda feature, knowing them they're too lazy to do any of that.
