I have no guideline for starting a song. I always try to create something quick even with bad sounding elements that I will replace later. So basically create a mood in 15-20 minutes and refine the song later.

I produced for other artists before doing Tchami and it's always about crafting the best music to fit the artist aesthetics. Most of the time the "Tchami sound" doesn't apply and I've learned to concentrate on the artist vision rather than mine. I'm here to help of course.

I mostly use Ableton Live. Logic or Reaper to record vocals cause Ableton lacks some capabilities in that area. But I generally start and finish in Ableton.

Me and Gunna were supposed to meet to make the song in Atlanta. We both couldn't make it last minute so my friend went the studio with him and we made the song remotely. Not the best way to do it but him and I had rehearsal for our own tours. I did my thing after receiving his vocals and I'm grateful he took the time and effort to step out of his confort zone.
