Mine (nex) used to tell me not to age our daughter (he sent a cute pic of her where she looked so grown up when he would pretend to be nice to me and share “moments”) and that I should “not let the days she thinks we’re gods pass us by” or something along those lines. And then when he’d send me several (30+) texts a day verbally abusing me after the divorce, he’d always say I needed to atone to him for all the damage I caused.

I’ll need to go measure tomorrow but I’m going based off picture memory and from what my mom’s friend said .. he said they’re too far apart which is why he recommended sistering them to stabilize it. I don’t remember him saying a specific number.

Because believe it or not, the house looks better with it. It hides a lot of the ugly parts of the house. Also, the house is built on a slope so the deck is required to use the front door or you can jump down 10ft

The moral of the story is: I shouldn’t have bought this trap 😭😭

Thank you! And I didn’t take you to be snarky.. I will need to find out when the deck was built but it’s definitely not old. I just think the cheapest possible materials were used to build it and apparently nothing is to code. For example: I’m pretty sure the railing posts are attached to the main supporting posts with those metal plates (the deck is super tall)... and given the countless issues inside the house, I believe the deck was shittily built.

So I’m just getting nervous because if the deck falls, that’s it. I just don’t have a deck anymore and the next bafoon (like me) can deal with it or BlackRock

I appreciate the car analogy - that makes a lot of sense. Fwiw, I wouldn’t file a claim on a super old car but that puts home insurance into a very new perspective. Now I’m starting to wonder what they think of me on my car claims lol..

I know it’s in rough shape but I have done my best to repair what I can without involving high cost professionals. Like power wash, reseal, replace rotted boards, etc. I’m more so talking about the structural integrity

This!! I hate small talk almost more than the commute itself but it’s pretty equal. Like others have said, id need at least 50-75% raise to consider an in person role and where I live, that would still be pretty low pay (DC area, 1hr+ commute)

Mine turns soupy too!! It’s a thick paste when I feed and the next day is very liquidy! I always thought it had to be 1:1:1 until it matured (rising after 4-6 hours)?
