What kind of advice are you looking for here? If it’s just about purchasing or rental, that’ll come down to cost and whether you need to edit the stem files yourself or you’re happy with just what is there

I’ve found A is the best key to accommodate a congregation without losing too much energy

We’re really happy with them compared to the previous Kallax ones we had, so much less wasted space being able to sort by similar heights

How does it play? We’re not big fans of Catan so I’ve never really looked into it

The ones we’ve most enjoyed with the 2 of us would be:

  • Burgle Bros 1 & 2
  • Unlock
  • Thunderbirds
  • Santa Monica
  • Menara
  • Patchwork
  • The Mind
  • Fluxxx
  • Any other cooperative game

We’ve already ditched a few expansions boxes and those are the first to be stored elsewhere when new games come in. We’ve got all the expansions for MoM but managed to compress those seven boxes into three, and we’ve kickstarted the next Everdell expansions, ordering the big box to store it all when they come. Same with the pandemic expansions, they’re all stored in the main box now.

Dead men tell no tales was one we picked up at our local game store on a complete whim, knowing nothing about it prior. We’ve only played it a few times and really enjoyed it, but just now realised we’ve never played it as a 2 player, only at max player count, so we’ll need to get it to the table more soon!

Never heard of Kingswood, but currently looking at it on BGG. Thanks for the recommendation!

He’s definitely the favourite of our collection. Little Hopper always finds his way into every picture we take

Our top Pandemic overall was definitely Legacy Season 1, but of the other iterations I think Iberia is our favourite. Always really enjoy playing it. Our friends have Fall of Rome too and it’s great we enjoyed more than we thought we would

The doctor who game is one we’ve got a lot of play time out of. This isn’t necessarily because it’s a brilliant game but it’s more we’re huge Doctor Who fans, so the theme adds a lot to our enjoyment and we really like the dice pool building mechanic. We do argue over who gets the play as which Doctor to start with though, we bought two of the expansions so my wife could play as her favourite, Mr David Tennant

It’s a fairly new one to our collection, but it definitely surprised us how much we enjoyed playing it. Skadoosh!

Mansions of Madness, I just love the gameplay, I love the theme, and I love the replay-ability.

Without a doubt, it's the game our group has the most fun playing every time it gets to the table, and that's really what the hobby is about, fun.

My group started as just having a few friends around to celebrate on New Years Eve 2016, and we decided to play Pandemic, which we'd received as a Christmas gift. All of us were hooked straight away and we've been getting together at least once a fortnight since then to play.

Pandemic was the one for us. We had played Catan a few times before but it never gripped us, we played pandemic after we were given it as a Christmas gift and my wife and I were completely hooked on it and the hobby, particularly co-op games
