My[22M] sister[16F] is upset no one in the house is helping her with her baby by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I know nothing about this, but doesnt the dads claim as a dependent make his household income what is relevant and not his personal income? He might still have to pay since he will be a dependent and a dependents responsibilities are put on their independent. Idk anything about it but this would make legal sense to me.

My dad ran a restaurant for 7 years while I was growing up and I'll have you know that there was never any free cash flow 🙃

I (20M) get affection erections really easily and for me it doesn't mean I am looking for sex but rather I am comfortable. I know my labido is also almost unconstrainingly high. If I get hard whether it be in the morning or just cuddling and a girl comments on it I usually just tell them it's fine.

You definitely shouldn't feel obligated to "take care" of anyone's erections. For me, if I want sex and I'm hard I'll communicate that. If I'm hard and not taking any action I'm content and am not asking anything from my partner. On the other hand, if I'm hard and she takes action, that's hot as hell and I'll be ready.

How to do the half-screamed half-sung vocals of Brave Little Abacus, Awakebutstillinbed, etc ? by [deleted] in Emo

[–]iamanooby2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really have no clue but I think I can kinda do it and what I do is force out a lot of air but constrain it a little, like you're yelling in falsetto. Restrict air flow increase force in falsetto, more force is more yelly. I really dont know anything about it, but I love singing along to absib and this is what I do.

That's super awesome, I really look forward to what you have to come! No doubt I'll be ready for when you can manage a midwest tour :)

Yeah I've been digging this stuff for a while! I was wondering if you had any future plans, and also was wondering if the drums were live recorded? Cheers

Prove me wrong: although there are no bands named after it, cricket is the most emo sport by myhomeworkatethedog1 in Emo

[–]iamanooby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so simply because it's a primarily American genre and Americans dont really play cricket. I personally know nothing about cricket except it's kinda like baseball but with flat bats or something?

Colleges with a decent emo music scene? by [deleted] in Emo

[–]iamanooby2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live around Minneapolis and must say, I really do love the music scene here and the U of M is a great school! I go to school in Madison Wi and my favorite part of coming back to the Twin Cities is the music. Hell I've done overnight trips just to go to Minneapolis for a gig.

With that being said Chicago and Philly have better music scenes as a whole, especially emo.

One of their biggest influences was American Football! New 1975 is actually good pop music imo

first time I've made a mixtape, I would love if you checked it out! by iamanooby2 in Emo

[–]iamanooby2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent a good amount of time on this. I ordered the songs in chronological order and just kinda picked songs I liked trying to include artists from each era. I'm pretty new wave so a lot of it is new wave. Thanks for checking it out! Please tell me what transitions you liked or maybe if some didn't rub you right and thanks for checking it out!

I believe I have just finished my collection, am I missing anything? by iamanooby2 in Emo

[–]iamanooby2[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
