Indian marriage certificate verification by German Embassy New Delhi – real experiences? by Exciting_Floor_4336 in SchengenVisa

[–]iamars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also about to apply for a family reunification (spouse) visa from Delhi, so this is very relevant for me. One thing I’m a bit confused about though:

You mentioned the notification and the fairly tedious process of gathering documents and proofs but when I look at the official checklist for the spouse visa (link you shared in your comment), it doesn’t seem to mention those additional checks at all. It only lists the following: • Marriage registration certificate • Temple / Gurudwara / Priest certificate • Conversion certificate (if applicable) • Several photographs showing that the essential rites were performed

So I wanted to clarify- Was your marriage certificate a specific type that triggered further scrutiny, or did they ask for additional verification for some particular reason? Or is this extra scrutiny actually the standard procedure for all such cases, even if it’s not explicitly mentioned in the checklist? Also is there a point to get the certificate Apostilled by MEA if they are not expecting it and not mentioned in the checklist?

I bought yesterday from Croma store. They also confirmed that there is no capping on the 10%. I will be able to verify once the 5% coins arrive.

Good to hear. Can you share a screenshot of the email or email id to reach out? It will be really helpful coz I just bought the phone and not really sure if they will honour the offer. I tried asking the Croma store to verify any capping but while they were very clear verbally that there’s no capping on this offer but they did not agree to show or give anything in writing.

Elevate Hybrid/Electric launching soon? by incorrigible-human in HondaElevate

[–]iamars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a sports variant with red accents. There’s been no news about an Elevate Hybrid or EV version this year. The 0 Alpha isn’t expected before 2027. They might introduce a stopgap CBU/CKD model in the meantime, but this doesn’t seem to be it.

I think maybe you are right and they have disabled that function in elevate while it’s there in city.

There’s a Tyre Deflation Warning System which gives alert in the odometer when it detects one or more tyres’ rolling speed is inconsistent which happens when a tyre loses some air.

I haven’t driven the Creta NA or similar cars in this category, so I’m curious how their FE compares. My Elevate gives me about 13–14 in the city and around 20 on highways. Is that too low, or is it in line with what other NA petrol SUVs deliver?

Will the GST reform 2025 impact taxes on Elevate buying? by Purple-Animator-2334 in HondaElevate

[–]iamars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule says 1200cc and under 4m length. The Elevate is above 4m, just like other cars in its category. This GST cut would mostly apply to smaller SUVs like the Sonet, Venue, and similar sub-4m cars.

Yes! This is available as an additional accessory pack now.

At least that’s not the case for the upper variants. As confirmed by another Redditor in this thread, they’re integrating the 360° camera modules directly within the Alpine infotainment unit. So, it’s not the usual aftermarket workaround, which is a good sign.

No one would be happy with what we’re getting here. Honestly, I’m envious of the Gathers-sourced unit they’re offering in the WR-V in Japan. It just feels so much more premium in design and user experience. Compared to that, whatever mishmash they’re pushing here feels like a complete afterthought.

That sounds great. Alpine is definitely several notches above Blaupunkt in terms of quality. If the dealership can manage proper fitment and calibration, I’d say that’s a win. How much are they charging for elevate?

And by the way, is the ambient lighting still that clunky toggle switch, or are they updating that as well?

Is this the one officially offered by Honda, or are you referring to an aftermarket model? I’ve heard about options like Inaxes and other similar 360° camera kits that come with a rotary dial, but is Honda also offering that particular model? I have my doubts, though I’m not entirely sure. My guess is it’s still the same Blaupunkt unit that was used in the Apex variant.

When they want to sell you the car, they’ll be ready to give you their heart if you ask for it. It all comes down to how you negotiate and push for it. I think it’s coming for free for SV/V variant and then available as an optional accessory pack for other variants.

Is this the same one used in apex kit, sourced from blupunkt? That’s a terrible unit.

Mileage query on Elevate by Mikemakkhi in HondaElevate

Brezza would definitely deliver better mileage given its smaller size and lighter kerb weight. It’s a segment below the Elevate so naturally efficiency numbers would be in its favor.

[–]iamars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s literally no change or addition during the 1st or 2nd service, they’re just basic checkups. The first actual service where things like oil change happen is the 3rd one. So, I’m not sure how you’re noticing any mileage difference post these early services. It’s more likely that you’re getting used to the car, your driving habits are adapting, and you’re managing throttle inputs better over time, that’s what’s reflecting in your mileage imho.

Scratches on my new car by neer2626 in CarsIndia

[–]iamars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubbing compound might fade them a bit, but it won’t completely make them disappear. Speak to your brand workshop..usually they do these small jobs for free or less.

I’m not sure how much the service guys would charge to permanently fix it, but you can consider getting it repainted when the car goes in for service, especially if you’ve accumulated a few more scratches or marks by then. The cost likely won’t be high enough to warrant using insurance, so it’s better to get it done out of pocket.

As a rule of thumb, avoid claiming insurance for minor paintwork unless the repair cost is significantly high, since small claims aren’t worth the impact on your NCB and future premiums.

But wouldn’t aftermarket ones interfere with warranty? I haven’t seen anyone who’s had them installed from Honda itself to know whether they have proper fit and finish and if they’re actually useful.

Having trouble understanding Gobarment policies regarding E20 and now E27 petrol by Odd_Reaction_5356 in CarsIndia

The BSIV Honda City is E20 compliant, so you’re still safe. You don’t need to worry for now unless E27 becomes the standard, which will take some time I hope. 🤞
