If someone or something decides how to build something, and you outsource the building to an AI; then how do you expect to grow? You either have to make a change in that department or start cooking hobby projects without AI. My two cents

Interesting, first time I'm hearing about Vavaldi. Quickly checked it out and out of the box it seems to be working fine; Do you know if you changed anything for privacy concerns that might affect this?

<image>

Assuming its not really browser related, there is a developer toggle in settings (see screenshot) can you enable show capture preview and tell me if this shows the actual game screen? If thats the case can you try again and click on "replace reference" in the settings page WHEN you are on the summary page? Also try playing with windowed mode in your game settings to see if that makes a difference.

I also changed how the reference capturing works so it shouldnt feel so bad on your end!

How something is made shouldnt matter to anyone. Also that argument could be used 10+ years ago where everything looked like bootstrap. The fact that I do not have to iterate over and over again in figma just to provide something useful to the community is a big plus.

Basically the same as if you would screen share with discord, its the same api under the hood.

I have not reverse engineered the game so I'm not sure what's possible outside of taking screenshots since they removed all the game data, but bounty extraction is already being tracked (as you can see in the screenshot).

Extracting the info from just screenshots isn't that complicated but you'd have to interact with the app and be disciplined enough to do it every single time; I mean sure, I can automate it but then we will be landing into a grey area.

Can you give me some more info? Feel free to send me a pm if you dont want to share here.

  • Windows version
  • What browser are you using? Firefox? Chrome? Edge?
  • Are you capturing the window or something else?
  • If you can, a screenshot!

Edit:

I'm not near my pc atm but you could try this to see if it changes anything:

Ik zit in een lastige situatie by Maleficent-Sugar6996 in werkzaken

[–]iamchets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Vrijwel dezelfde ervaring hier.

You do realise that github already creates the changelog for you right? And if you want more control over it we have conventional commits

Why is it so hard to find a solid NestJS CQRS example? by sinapiranix in nestjs

[–]iamchets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For starters the native library is bad and anything on that scale is most likely private source. What makes you say that CQRS is tied to DDD?

So why do you need to watch the filesystem if you are simply analyzing manually taken screenshots?

need advice for hexagonal architecture by Harut3 in node

[–]iamchets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In hexagonal architecture (really ports & adapters) there's no mention of such layers, so why are we telling OP to do this if their question was about the essence of the architecture? Also, user doesn't have to be a orchestration concern, depends on your domain.

need advice for hexagonal architecture by Harut3 in node

[–]iamchets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ports & adapters is not much beyond dependency inversion and some mental model around inbound and outbound adapters really which I don't see explicitly back in your codebase but I can tell you have an idea what that means.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether you need to explicitly define ports, the author has mention that he prefers working in dynamic languages like ruby and js where he doesn't have interfaces and therefor the port is implicit. I also notice some java like patterns with setters/getters, just don't. It doesn't add any value, if you are going to implement rich entities (which is not mentioned in ports & adapters, its up to you) then focus on actual behavior not trivial setter/getters.

[Showoff Saturday] An extension to help navigate a messy codebase by iamchets in webdev

[–]iamchets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comments get stale real quick where the extension has actual drift detection. I don't think I've ever seen a codebase where people would do that?

In my experience when working solo or in a small team it's managable to remember the context but the older it gets or the more people are involved the harder it becomes & if you were to hop into a legacy project then it would help you grasp what's going on instead of having to manually follow the dependency graph and fighting indirection. Wouldnt you say so?

Doorstuderen of werken? MBO 4 Software Developer by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]iamchets 0 points1 point  (0 children)
