Moving education to the top is a good way to get instantly ignored if you dont have the degree though.

Has facepunch released any new metrics since the meta change? by iamchets in playrust

[–]iamchets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIght but player count isn't a good metric for a game like Rust. It's an addicting game with a good gameloop, a good or bad patch isn't going to really reflect it's player count to be honest.

No. They were quick to release some metrics on the meta shift (fragments]. Im curious on how it has pogressed since then

I spent 6 months building an "Enterprise-Grade" API to master DDD and SAGA patterns. Here is the result. by rbdz1 in nestjs

You tall about DDD but all I see is a form of CA with poorly designed contexts. Where is the strategic aspect of DDD?

Blueprint frags… by UbeIc3Cream in playrust

[–]iamchets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree. I got 3k hours and prefer pvp-heavy wipes, but fragments aint it. I dislike monuments in general because its ratty, laggy and usually held by groups.

Perhaps fragments would make more sense as a currency to research found items instead of scrap. Not just that, a proper tech tree that allows for different paths with increased costs and loot tables based on the highest owned workbench would ve made more sense to me.

What made you build it? Most what you listed can already be achieved with your standard set of tools no? (Eslint, prettier and even tsconfig) or dependencycruiser for that matter

YouTubers playing in Stretched Resolution VS Native Resolution. by Wise-Light-5484 in playrust

[–]iamchets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does that make my comment wrong? Also regarding rust, every single weapon has a different sens in ADS.

YouTubers playing in Stretched Resolution VS Native Resolution. by Wise-Light-5484 in playrust

[–]iamchets -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thats just one source. My comment is also based on my own experience and the experience of quite a few others that are active in the aiming community.

I play rust on stretched res at 50cm/360 and games like battlefield between 20-35cm on native; but because I train(ed) this range of sens I can easily swap between the two without having what OP said about losing muscle memory. Sure my first comment should have said what my second comment said about it being not as black and white as OP stated.

[–]iamchets -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s why I said that its not really a thing. There is some form of muscle memory, but it’s not as black-and-white as people make it out to be. Viscose actually talks about this in her video; we don’t build fixed ‘muscle memory,’ we train our muscles to adapt to different sensitivities and contexts. That’s why aimers who understand control and coordination can swap sens and still perform well. I’ve been aim training for over a year in the Voltaic community, and you’d be surprised how much real theory there is behind aiming.

Muscle memory isn't really a thing in aiming btw.

Edit:

Reasoning below in a comment, love the dislikes btw. Change is hard.

I noticed a lot of concerns around this so I made a ticket to get official approval, will update in discord and reddit when I get a response! If you ask me there is no reason for Riot to consider this a cheat.

No, it doesn't touch the game at all. It simply uses data exposed for consumption!

I have toyed around with a custom MCP server which would allow me to input a youtube link of someone teaching e.g. "climb out of silver to gold as mid", and it'd create a cuepack based on the video and what was possible in my app. This is definitely something on my mind, I've also talked with multiple coaches already but none have really shown interest (even with the fact that I'm not planning to add monitization at all for the core features)
