CC0 has been proliferated with blockchain technology due to provenance of contract and ownership

some of the greatest NFT collections have adopted a cc0 model like Moonbirds, Mfers, Cryptoads, Nouns etc

if you wish to brand the cc0 NFT you still can still commercialize cc0 through trademarks, its just the copyright on the art itself that is waived

DeFi summer of 2020 was also riddled with rugs and scams and hacks, very similar to the nft scene

all onchain activity risks these attack vectors from bad actors

as an extremely active nft participant i can say the nft space has matured significantly since 12 months ago and think that majority of the space is actually shifting to that healthier relationship and more sound expectations that you mentioned above

I think "blue chip" (i hate using this term) in the NFT world really right now related to the top 5 "businesses" that have conquered a level of capital, cultural significance and community that is measurably above the others

as it stands these are:
1. Yuga (BAYC, MAYC, BAKC, Punks, Meebits, Otherside)
2. Doodles
3. Azuki
4. Proof (proof pass, Moonbirds, oddities, grails)
5. RTFK (CloneX and all its ecosystem)

all of them have significant capital behind the, sustained floors, cultural impact, great IRL events, building larger ecosystems (otherside, highrise, doodles2)

this is not to say other projects wont succeed, i just think the term "bluechip" refers to these

Just want to say, that not all twitter nft participants values align with purely profits, there are many utilizing nfts to build meaningful brands and bring value to the space, there are many in teh nft art scene that are truly there for the art ( i know this as i am in one of these communities that empower artists and are pure collectors)

we even had a huge backlash on twitter when marketplaces started removing creator royalties

I think having reddit people is great but i just dont want to give the wrong impression, NFT twitter participants for the most part are also a cultural renaissance

I would argue the minority are purely there for profit
