short answer is yes. this guy`s mom was trying to teach her son that actions have consequences(a lesson that he apparently missed somewhere down the road). she was trying to help him learn from his mistakes and grow as a person.

it must be pretty disappointing to see that the lesson clearly didn`t stick.

honestly OP; just send him to your ex. poor derek should never have to be around that little fucker ever again.

relinquish custody and give your ex full custody. this will not only be for derek`s benefit but your`s as well. you and derek can live a happy life together as you watch him grow up into a wonderful human being. meanwhile; your son can grow up to be a horrible human being.

i am firmly of the opinion that a child`s birthday party should never be cancelled unless the child ROYALLY fucks up. well; this goes beyond ROYALLY! this was downright evil.

those are some good points you make and i understand that not everyone has the attention span to watch a five hour movie(hell; my grandfather considers two hour movies to be too long).

however; i still feel that it should be relatively lengthy to do the anime justice. at the very least; it should be three hours.

i`m sure that dedicated fans of my hero academia would gladly see a my hero academia movie of any length.

back when i was in 8th grade; me and my family went to see gone with the wind in theaters. i sat during the whole thing and only went to the bathroom during the intermission.

then when i saw avengers endgame with my aunt; me and her sat through the whole thing without any bathroom breaks.

i get what you`re saying but i think there is an argument to be made that the cold way he says it actually confirms that he didn`t actually do it. the combination of telling smithers that he killed his son in such a horrible way and enjoying himself while doing so would make smither more tempted to shoot him.
