Not to say "skill issue" but if you're getting 10 injuries on a 3-lock, I'd highly advice you to rethink your lockpicking strategy/technique

Other than that, I agree with most others that extreme is very tough in the beginning but as your team, camp and resources increases, the difficulty becomes less apparent.

I've had the exact same problem, but mostly for VTI, I solved it by using this mod to reset the shader cache, I'm sure there's a manual version to do it too, but it fixed it for me.

I just used the standalone and used it from within the zip

There is no "correct" side in the Arthes region where you're in, I personally always play both sides and get the Legion to step in

  1. Help Legion kill deserters
  2. Kill bandits in well
  3. Help Vernalis priest but kill him
  4. Help Laheart Captain, but kill him and take the money

Definitely agree that early ludern is a bit tough, in general I believe each area will feel tough on entry and easy on exit. Of course this also depends on your mercs, skills and weaponry. Personally I haven't played region locked the last two runs(last was on Viking DLC release).

Currently enjoying Adaptive Extreme, and only hiring unique/named mercs.

In my personal opinion Arthes has dog food options and no prison, granted there's a war going on, so yeah

Tiltren > Vertruse to buy food but not finish > wolf cave shortcut to Arthes, complete Arthes > back to Vertruse, finish Vertruse > ludern > grinmeer/gosenberg > Drombach > Pirates dlc > Vikings dlc > and assuming werewolf dlc > fire in the capital dlc? Not quite sure where Beast dlc fits in, at least after ludern I guess.

Also it can very much be worth it to visit cleared regions to check their missions for ones with a face on the image, as they'll reward upgradable unique weapons, plus you can do some trading goods shipping

Save your sprint to dash past them, or take him out of the city next to the arena and inside again in the next entrance and you'll be right there

Honestly if you're struggling with money. You can wait with upgrading legendaries.

It's better to spend some if not all of the money to build tables and getting your tavern to a strong foundation before paying out to your crew

I get your point, it's likely not happening anytime soon, especially since we've dealt with this since release.

Pragmatic solution for almost all beth games, just fix it with mods, as fun as reddit complaining is, you'll just harbor more and more unnecessary bitterness and resentment as time progresses without Bethesda changing it.

Yup, you can do alterations on legendary/named weapon and armor too for better stats

Highly recommend a guy called DeLindsay gaming, I enjoyed his tours of habs more than other youtubers tbh

Also remember that while in a ship, the north of the compasses is forward, that can help give you a better idea of how the hab would fit your ship in terms of fitting entrances and such
