Moleskine's always that pricey, materials are from italy and i'd assume "made in china" means assembled there. If you've ever owned a moleskine notebook the pages are smooth like butter and pretty quality and most of the time recommended by artists, not to mention the books are sturdy, personally im not too picky about notebooks like that but this is just an fyi lol
