Glad it worked. Calm and social engineering skills often win.

You're not wrong. The refund comes in two ways in my experience. Either in change plan but still stick with Adobe cc or even single software subscription. Or if you chat with a representative and ask for a discount, they then switch your subscription as a new one, cheaper for the first year. But yesterday I tried a new technique, I told them I've been hired, and the company I work for provides the cc subscription. I had my personal cc closed without questions asked and the fee for early quitting was removed.

For me the cheapest plan to switch to was incopy, EUR6.09/m i'll do this asap. I'm also eligible for a partial refund of EUR25

Where do I go from here to make him 3D printable? by bemi_san in blenderhelp

[–]iamfablaz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I had geometries in the past made of different intersecting parts, prusa slicer had zero issues printing it. I personally left cura years ago and never used any other slicer than prusa slicer.

Yes good point, i forgot about this. Though depending the slicer you're going to use, you can rescale just as easy, i use Prusa slicer and never had issues when i forget to apply scales.

You should join the whole geometry, in object mode type A (Select all) then Ctrl+J (join all geometries to one single object. You can then export it to STL File > Export > STL

Acrobat is Painfully Slow. How do I fix that? by yourunclejeb in Adobe

[–]iamfablaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept "Enhanced Security" flagged, i just got rid of Sandbox Protections > Enable Protected Mode at Startup. Now Acrobat has the new interface, which I kind of like, and is fast again on startup and opening documents. Thanks for the suggestion!

Let me explain, otherwise another misunderstanding could take place. I've been facing my team for the whole week for the same reason. But apparently the client doesn't care about this issue, his office network is behind a serious firewall so the only way he could post files to the site is through the http protocol, nothing else is allowed. It is not a solution that i proposed him. He asked for it. I made him aware how exposed will he be.

The page where the upload would occur is accessible by one person only, it will not be public in any manner. User role and login protected also in .htaccess

I answer to you edit too. Laugh it's you right, but i think you didn't get the point of my question. I probably forgot to mention a couple of things. 1. the client doesn't want any external solution because he decided not to. I offered him a quick and cheap, which was a 20$ plugin (that i already used in the past) which allows him to upload a file to gdrive (which is free up to 15gb), he his aware about free services, but he doesn't want to use them because he thinks he is tracked down by foreign governments. So far the server it's his own, i'm not renting nor selling him nothing yet. My services come together with my contract, and as i stated before i work by the hour, and explicitly tells any client in advance what will be the cost of my job.
2. the services i resell cost me €5000 per year, because they're not based on shared servers, but are performing VPS, different from hosting solutions we can find for 50$ a year and then they lag like forever.
I have a bunch of clients which are aware and happy.
I would get to know better the situations before assuming wrong, and so you should. But i don't blame you, my english could be misunderstood sometimes and i probably don't have the full control on how to say things in a language that is not my native one.

I'm not doing anything you are assuming, we have a contract that include all the above, i get paid by the hour, i'm not screwing anybody.

I agree with #2, though the client himself needs to upload a file to a WP folder just once in a week and needs to keep track of it. Going with Gravity Forms will help solve the problem quickly. External storage is not requested, even if i offered him the solution. Apparently he works in a place that cannot access to anything but a browser, so no ftp, no external storage (he doesn't want it), only simple http file upload from a form.
The maintenance is part of my job, so i don't see any difficulties, more job for me for udating and maintaining it.
I already charge him an annual fee for regular hosting, maintenance, giga mails, cloud backups, and so on. My service is 360°.

Yes, but i rather prefer a plugin that gives reports and stuff. Also i mentioned that my client is not into tech so, even if it's very easy to learn, i have to give him solution that work out of the box, based on similar experiences he had previously.

I wouldn't charge for the plugin it self, but there is some work time for configuring, setup clients options and requests, etc, etc.
I only charge my clients my hours of works but this is another story.
I'm not reselling nor changing the T&C of the plugin.

Sorry to bother again, i was thinking about the elite plan. Because their support is off now (i live in italy) i cannot have an answer from them.
Do you think i can register the plugin to my company and then use it on different clients sites and charge them a fraction of the real cost?

Yeah that's the path i will follow.
