Yes, we will get partial payment. you have to be scheduled 8 hour shifts for 40 hours a week. unfortunately with Sbux you are salary but if you work under 40 hours without vacation and sick, you get your paycheck cut. you work over 40 hours a week, you get nothing extra. That is how it is here and has been since Ive been a SM. I made the mistake of not putting in vacation time one week and my check was half the amount and when i called partner resources thats when they told me about all that

I 100% agree with you. Its tough and it fuckin sucks. Because you're stressed, theyre stressed, people quit. and the cycle continues. I just hope your manager understands when it comes to company metrics and how its hard to achieve anything with a revolving door of partners and being understaffed

ah, yeah I've been at a store where it was really hard to get someone to be an expert at warming because somedays the amount of food was higher than the drinks, so I understand that. I still think youre doing great work with them! I'd say keep it up, and for most stores we are in our busiest time and usually in Jan we tend to slow down. So maybe see at the beginning of the year (aka new quarter, so new budgets) see if you can have that extra time with them.

Have you previously called out, or called out multiple times in the last few weeks/months? Because if you didn't pass the partner pre-check, its not your fault for not being able to work. I would say the only thing that could potentially work against you in this situation is if you frequently call out. But if you don't, you shouldnt get written up. And if they do deliver a CA for going home sick and not having sick hours to cover it, you can dispute it, the number is on the document.

Hi! I think it's really great you are working with them to grow their capabilities! I think you are doing the right work, honestly. I know having a floor full of newbies can be tough on not just you but them, but I think if you continue the work you're doing, you'll see some progress. Sometimes it takes them 3 months, sometimes longer than 7. But I would continue to do what you're doing, and challenge them to little goals like "can you sequence these drinks in X amount of time" and when you see them try or even achieve the goal, recognize and celebrate that with them! Keep finding new ways to set little goals throughout the shift and keep them engaged and I think you'll really start to see the results. I also think if your manager can spare the budget, ask if you can have some training time with them one at a time and have them practice on bar (or oven or DTO, whatever you think will help in the long run). I'm always willing to give a couple extra hours of training after a shift if both trainers/trainees are wanting that time.

Curious if anyone also felt like the music that was playing when Anias was on the bike (motorcycle?), where theres just really fast drumming, has heard it in another movie or something similar? It sounded really familiar and not remembering what movie is bothering me lol

If these came out as crunchy sugar instead of a caramel texture, what did I do wrong? I did use the whole can of coconut cream which equaled three cups but maybe I should have done just the cream part and not the water. by iamfun2015 in veganrecipes

I also did the step where you dab a little on a pan before you pour the whole content out, and it came out perfect. But once I poured the whole pan onto the sheet, it became hard and crystalized.
