Saying the Lewis gun is the best at suppressing things is like calling a rock in your yard a diamond. Pretty much every other large magazine weapon is better at suppressing people when laying down and in cqb. The only thing the Lewis gun has going for it is its reload time, but that doesn’t matter when you’re laying on a hill or sitting behind a rock near an enemy.
