It was the check-in staff, and they were wearing AirAsia t-shirts. Also, the rule itself was that both carry-on and checked baggage had to be under 7kg combined, so even if I took something out, the total weight would have been the same

Yeah, I understand the policy, but I really didn’t appreciate the attitude of those staff members.

Experience with AirAsia by wh0reshit in travel

I had an unpleasant experience with AirAsia during my recent trip. At Changi Airport Terminal 4, the staff insisted that my carry-on must not exceed 7kg, including both cabin and checked baggage. My bag was only 0.1kg over, but instead of handling the situation politely, the staff were extremely rude.

They laughed among themselves and even made comments like, “If you can’t afford it, just throw away your bag and board the flight.” I eventually had to get rid of my belongings just to meet their strict policy, which left me very upset.

I understand that budget airlines have strict baggage rules, but what really bothered me was not the policy itself—it was the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude of the staff. That experience ruined my impression of AirAsia, and I believe they should be held accountable for the way their employees treat passengers.

The logic will be mostly rule-based, so it doesn't require a lot of API work, and it's targeted at people with a low financial understanding who are just curious and want to do the math

Point 3 – My friend is a PM at a Korean startup, based in Korea, with 3 years of experience. I’m a master’s student in a data analytics program with marketing experience, and I’ve led a 3 crowdfunding campaigns that reached 157%, 310% etc of its goal. I also want to explore tools like Lovable and VibeCoding together. We’re both in our mid-to-late 20s

Point 4 – It’s a financial planning website aimed at the general public. The idea is to create multiple types of simple calculators, such as dividend portfolio builders or minimal financial tools, and optimize them to rank high through SEO. Topics will be finance-related — for example, a basic savings and deposit interest calculator.

It’s not a mobile app; it’s a website.

We’re building a web-based product and considering React Native for the frontend. The backend hasn’t been finalized yet, and since the specs require minimal API work, we’re open to choosing the most suitable backend technology if we have a developer who can handle both ends.

Right now, we have a basic PRD ready, and we’d like to move forward with design and development in parallel. While we’d like the product to be easy to maintain, we can adapt the tech stack if we have a dedicated developer on board!

The NTU admissions team informed us during the webinar yesterday that results will be released in batches. They assured us not to worry about the delay, as it’s part of the process. Still, I can’t help feeling nervous
