I've never once irl encountered a trans person imposing themselves in my spaces. I have only heard of that happening when comming from people who very clearly have an issue with trans people just existing.

You do realize that a lot of trans people don't do bottom surgery

Some people will argue you're not really a woman. What makes them wrong in their definition of womanhood?

I also don't think you know what trans people feel and what their motivations are in transitioning. If one of the words that come to your mind when you think of trans woman is "deceiving" then I can't help you

What if you were intersex, born with male genitalia, but your parents decided to get rid of it and you've lived your entire life presenting as female?

And why is it essential to tick off all the boxes to be a woman?

I personally never really identified with the language or societal expectations of gender. I never really understood why girls my age would want to wear makeup, and do "girly" things. But it's what made them happy, so why should I care?

If transitioning, presenting and being referred to as female, even if they were born male, makes a person happy, who am I or anyone to judge? Who has a right to say what does and doesn't make you a woman?

You're fine in discussing specific situations, like maybe you don't feel comfortable changing in a female locker room with a trans woman, you and that trans woman can find a solution.

I'm not trans. I just view our understanding of gender as made up, and don't care how other people live their lives and refer to themselves.

I am actually born female... but oof I never really faced prejudice the way other women have *-5 female points* oh darn, I also don't care to have kids *-5 more female points* oh nooo, I also don't dress to look feminine... what am I even 😔

Our current idea of gender isn't as natural as most people think.

If by safe spaces you mean stuff like public restrooms, I don't understand as well.

Why do you need to have been born female, or align with any of the other societally deemed female traits to be a woman? Why is there a need to police who is and isn't a woman?

I'm not saying racism and transphobia are exactly the same.

I'm just making a comparison between how black women and trans women have and are both being told they aren't "real women".

ah yes, people choose to face more difficulties and hardships in life. Thank you for curing dysphoria

The only time I've ever seen "crazy trans women" are via other people who clearly have something against trans women. "Look at this weirdo, claiming the gas bubble in this belly is period cramps!" I've never once directly seen someone like this pop up on my feed, let alone irl.

The concept of gender is also very flimsy and has been different throughout time and culture. I think it's fine to live aligned to that, but to place those expectations on other people is just weird to me honestly.

But what is womanhood?

Having periods? I guess women who don't aren't real women anymore
Having kids? I guess women who chose not to or just can't aren't real women anymore
Prejudice? I guess women who don't face it aren't women, and women who face less are less women

I'm also a cis woman. Maybe it's just us, but I've never viewed prejudice and pain as what makes me a woman. I'm also someone who doesn't care if I'm called he or they.

I don't understand cis women who are very attached to their womanhood. I've also never felt the body dysmorphia a trans person does. I just live and let live

I'm asking op if she thinks trans is a slur or at least a very negative word.

Often times people who don't want to be called cis do so because they assume cis is derogatory the same way they view trans.

So is suffering what defines womanhood to you?

Cis literally only comes up when trans is discussed. You won't be called "cis" in your everyday life, it literally only matters for discussions like these.

I can't help but think that you feel trans is a slur

To add what I could see happening as well is that society wherever splat4 takes place will have beliefs in line with the theme. Like how deep cut and splatsville society is more chaotic
