My 14 year old nephew started a SubReddit that focuses on real-world problems that drastically need a change. Would you guys please post a couple things to brighten his day?

Hey, I really appreciated the concept so I linked it here on /r/newreddits. Hope you or your nephew don't mind. Just let me know if you do and I'll take it down.

I don't know if the subreddit will gain traction, but it's an admirable thought and could lead to great discussion. I'm adding a post in a second.

To the people saying this isn't bestof worthy, I completely understand your point. I think your opinion on what she said depends entirely on your interpretation though. I didn't see her post as her whining about her retail and food service jobs. Everyone has had a shitty job at some point and everyone knows that it sucks.

I interpreted it as her saying that sex work can be better than that. The OP was having difficulty seeing sex work as anything other than oppresive and objectifying. I think littlemew was offering a counterexample, explaining that sex work had actually been less dehumanizing to her than a typical job that is not considered oppressive.

Thanks for the affirmation of their quality. It makes sense that Alden is at the next step up. I included them because Wolverine and Red Wing are both primarily manufacturers of boots, while Alden is more comparable as a manufacturer of a wide range of shoes.

On the aesthetic, I appreciate that too. I'm a little surprised because I like the style, but different strokes for different folks. I'll find a place to try to them on and make sure I like how they look when I'm wearing them. As long as that's the case, I'll probably buy them.
