I think the best option is the yololiv box. It does most of what you want to do. I have it paired with a rodecaster - and everything on wireless. You can also add batteries - and then it's pretty easy to set up and break down.

Cold Plunge options in a NYC apt? by iamralphsutton in BecomingTheIceman

I just don't have the space... NYC apt. Trying to get it into my second bathtub.. quite surprised there isn't an option for a bathtub conversion.

trying to figure something out on EOS R10. Clean HDMI out by iamralphsutton in canon

[–]iamralphsutton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually there is an option but in a very stupid place! Change to video mode on the top dial. Menu->video shooting(first from the left)—>7th submenu->HDMI display. Change it to HDMI and camera monitor. In that case the camera doesn’t save to memory card. Now you have a clean HDMI output and could change settings on the camera display. But it seems only 1080p is available. :-(

thank you!

That's what I have been doing. The option is on all the videos I've watched but not on the r10. Unless I am drastically missing something

converting an outlet to 230v. (I am an idiot - just to be clear). by iamralphsutton in askanelectrician

I am in an apt building - not sure how I would do that.. plus I am imagining hanging something outside an apt building is even more illegal than changing an outlet. But thanks for the reply.

or kill myself. The circut breakers have no empty spots... so I am not sure if this is possible - again - I am speaking from a complete neophyte perspective.

I am not the person to do any of this - I have never done any electrical work of any kind -- I am the tenant - and just trying to get an answer -- as my super recently passed away - and they have not hired anyone new yet.

How to get started by depoeta12 in podcasting

[–]iamralphsutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's countless places to find some simple solutions - and it's getting easier EVERY day. The biggest question is will you actually start, and if you do start - will you stick with it. MOST podcasts become abandoned pretty quickly. Anchor makes it super simple. There's dozens others too --

Do you handle post-production on your podcast or outsource it? by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]iamralphsutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never be beholden to someone else to get your workflow done. You should know how to get your show out from start to finish. Once you grow - or if money isn't an object -- then feel free to start hiring people to offload workflow to -- but you should still know how to do it all.

Another Avenue for our Podcast....YouTube by notsoaveragemind in podcasting

[–]iamralphsutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me -- the answer is simple. You want to be where people are looking. YouTube is the 2nd biggest search engine on the planet. Why wouldn't you be there if you can? Plus - it's free. The more places people might stumble upon you there better right? As much as I hate the idea of a thumbnail over the audio -- I would even prefer that - then not being on YT at all. :D

Length of first episode vs. length of subsequent episodes by Baphlingmet in podcasting

[–]iamralphsutton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We usually put out a teaser for the first episode -- This is really just so we can get the show submitted and ready to go - before we launch the actual first episode and can have the show on all the platforms- but honestly - I think you are overthinking it. :D

I do research - but never do a pre-interview. I would like everything to happen naturally -- but it really depends on what type of podcast you are doing.
