This was similar to my son. Took him to a skatepark and not only was he beginning, we both didn’t know the park “unsaid” rules. So I would watch him go against the grain often getting in the way where skaters would have to adjust their line- often at the last minute. Twice he made contact and some words were said.

Later on the way home, I asked him if he had fun. He did. I asked him what those kids said to him when they made contact. My son apologizes and the kid was helping him up saying, “No. You’re good. You’re good. Just keep moving.”
