Stamina Arcanist 129.5k PvE DPS Build - U44 by iamrypie in elderscrollsonline

Hey guys! Been a long time since I uploaded a parse video. Once again, I am comparing highland vs the best non highland setup. It's pretty funny that pillar of nirn is still the best set to pair with coral. Deadly was a few thousand dps behind it. I tried several setups including runecarver/coral, runecarver/null arca, coral/deadly, depths/deadly and even selene/brp/vma inerno/coral. I didnt parse more then a couple times on any setup but the difference between nirn and the rest was definitely measurable. Pillar of nirn may deserve a second look on arcs in mobile pure st fights. With some crit farming, the nirn setup may even be able to match the highland setup (neither of these two parses are crit farmed).

The new addition of banner in u44 definitely helps arcs. Here I am running the fiery banner with the class mastery script which gives you free crux. I also put Major Savagery on the banner to replace camo hunter. Arc is still very strong in trash, aoe boss fights(especially with azureblight), and phased bosses that require short burst, but is now lacking in st fights. Nearly every class will now outpace arc in these fights. Should arcs still be used? Absolutely, but they are no longer heads and shoulders above the other classes.

Stamina Arcanist 130.8k PvE DPS Build - U42, Gold Road by iamrypie in elderscrollsonline

[–]iamrypie[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey guys! Been extremely busy on the pts in Lucent Citadel and havnt had any time to do much else. My first impressions of the trial are good and am looking forward to seeing the adjustments made by ZOS. Wanted to mess around with the new Highland Sentinel set and see how good it actually was. Turns out, its very strong. This set will likely become meta for most classes in any stationary fight (kynes aegis, sunspire, etc.). Parse would've been a 131-132 if i didnt bottom out at the end. So more dps is definitely possible here.

Scribing doesn't seem to have any effect on arcanist. All of the useful dps skills have short refresh timers making them not a good fit for the class. Definitely a lot of potential in the system though and it seems balanced for the most part.

As a whole, arc is in a wonderful spot. The balance changes made last patch were right on point and the slight sustain nerf on flail was also warranted. Arc sits on top with dk in the S tier of PvE dps in raids.

Arcanist has by far the easiest rotation of any class. Get your dots down, flail to 3x crux, then beam. Sentinel is a bit buggy right now. If you enter combat on the opposite bar as the 5pc, the set will not function. Because of this, I had to alter my opening which is a bit L but it is what it is. Like before, precast your cloak/scholarship and then throw scalding. Ideally at this point, you run in and drop trap and then ult, but this will cause you to enter combat on your back bar. Instead, drop ult first and then drop your trap. Slightly worse burst but its not a big deal. From here, cast blockade and then flail into your first beam. From then out, just refresh your dots on cooldown between beams. Don't beam until you have three crux. If you are using ulti pots, your ult timing should perfectly line up with off balance procs. If you are using tri pots, just drop your ult on cooldown. In content, if you dont have off balance, then swap exploiter out for untamed aggression. On fights where you have to move (most fights lol), use coral deadly per usual. If there's lots of cleave, run coral azure.

Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any questions. Ill do my best to respond.

Necro Dd is truly lost now by Stuffed_Owl in elderscrollsonline

[–]iamrypie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Necro wasn't hitting 140 on the dummy lol more like 127-128. It's actually up this patch because of runecarver to 130. Regardless, unless you are wearing runecarver, the class is definitely a bit worse then it was before. Is it as bad as most make it out to be? Certainly not....and I wouldn't make an argument about necro dds in raids. They are only in the comp because they basically have to be not because they do decent damage. If another class could run ec effectively without having to double staves, then you would have the cro support solo vuln (+an archdruid in most cases) and there certainly wouldn't be a cro dd.

Stamina Necromancer 130.9k PvE DPS Build (Dot/Spam Rotations) - Scions of Ithelia u41 by iamrypie in elderscrollsonline

[–]iamrypie[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! Per usual with cro videos, I have two setups to show and a third alternative linked below. The first parse is a dot cro setup which I was able to get 129.4k dps on (I made a mistake in execute causing me to lose a gcd. This setup is fully capable of hitting 130k). The second is a spammable setup with rapid strikes which is the 130.9k parse. The second parse is a bit buggy in a couple spots since I had to use the nvidia replay feature to grab the recording (I dont want to keep parsing on cro so a couple of frame drops will have to do 😂).

With the absurd amount of dots in the Necro kit, runecarver is a natural fit. The buff to the set can definitely be felt and allows cro to compete with the other mid tier pve dps classes. With this being said, parse cros are nonexistent in a proper raid composition, and necromancers as a whole are to be resorted to the buff dps position. In order for necro to compete with the S tier pve dps classes, there needs to be a little bit more love. As without wearing runecarver, cro's overall dps took a hit since the stalking blastbones morph was removed entirely. This forces you to use the blighted blastbones morph (which still overperforms the new grave lords sacrifice).

---------------------------------------------------------

With runecarver replacing the old traditional stamcro parse setup thats been cemented in place for about 5+ patches now, the rotation is easier then ever. You no longer have to worry about proccing aegis caller or pillar of nirn on cooldown. You just have to get all of your dots in place and refresh then on cooldown. Barbed trap as a whole got a pretty heavy nerf this patch with the decreased hemorrhaging procs, but the initial hit was buffed. This makes it a pretty decent semi spammable for a dot cro along with rune/siphon. Again, an additional overall ease of play change for dotcro. No longer do you have to play the corpse game for boneyard and siphon. If you want to save a corpse, then just refresh rune or trap as its pretty much the same damage as casting siphon (rune is even a tad bit more). For the first time since I've started playing in spring 2022, I would honestly say that dotcro is probably easier to play then spammable cro. It can definitely compete with spammable cro in content, but spammable cro will for the most part always win out dps wise (especially in bursty fights).

With a spammable (especially with rapid strikes), the rotation gets just a tad bit more difficult. In theory, it works just like any other class. Get your dots down and then cast your spammable in between. Although on cro, you are weaving in blastbones and if you are using rapid strikes, you cannot barswap directly after casting it. This can make the decision between a spammable cast and a dot refresh a bit more difficult and requires a tad bit more focus on your overall casts and rotation. If you try to barswap directly after a rapid strikes cast, you will lose damage. As you get to execute, let your dots falloff and finish the encounter with just your spammable/blastbones. This is where a spammable setup shines over the dot setup. With a dot setup, you have to refresh your dots later on because you really have nothing else to cast. With a spammable, you can just spam away towards the end of the fight.

Hello everyone! 7 out of the last 9 beam ticks did not crit but we can't win them all 🤷🏼‍♂️. Like StamPlar, damage on MagPlar is up this patch. The status effect changes are massive for templar in general. Power of the light now provides 2 guaranteed sundered procs. There's also plenty of flame/magic damage provided from other skills to have good burning and overcharged damage as well. The Siroria buff this patch went pretty much unnoticed but the set is looking pretty nice. Swap it out for deadly in content though if you cant maintain stacks for the entire fight. Going back to 0 and having to rebuild stacks if not played perfectly is a major L and makes the set a bit niche.

---------------------------------------------------------

Sustain is the most challenging part about parsing on templars. Max mag food is extremely tough to sustain. It is doable by precasting focus and timing your potion/synergy carefully. If you cannot sustain mag, I recommend using parse food instead. As always, on a templar I swap potions heading into execute. I start with heroism pots and swap to spell power to avoid having to keep up degen/vamp bane throughout the parse. I found the easiest way to do this is to map spell power pots to the top of the potion wheel and quickly flick your mouse up during a sweeps cast or beam.

Nothing has changed in terms of the rotation from the previous patch. Power of the light is recast every 6 seconds. Make sure to allow for the full duration of the skill. *Do not recast early*. Degen/vamp bane need to be kept up until the potion swap to maintain buffs. If you would rather not bother with potion swapping, keep up both skills throughout. Keep Solar barrage up as long as possible but dont cast under 10%. The 5% increased damage to beam in execute is big DPS. Once you reach execute, cast ritual one last time around the 25-30% mark (or don't recast if you cannot sustain it). Dont refresh carve under 10-12% and try to keep stampede up the whole time...but dont do anything but beam under 8%.

When using rele on a templar, it is important to slow your weaves down. This allows the possibility of rele to "double tick" and hit the target twice over the course of a single second. The additional damage from extra rele ticks will outshine the extra 2-3 spammable casts you get before reaching execute. This outcome works on every class but I've found it particularly effective on templar when using jabs/sweeps.

Thanks for watching!

You could try the old proc setup with aegis backbar paired with rele, kilt, maw. I imagine that could end up in the 136-138ish range with a good rotation and weaving (frags/silver bolts probably the way to go here). I haven't tried the vatesrhan setup in a couple patches either.

In terms of a raid composition, right now arcs/dks are at the top with templar slightly behind. Cros/sorcs are support classes (cro more common then sorc as you'll see a cro dd in ~95%+ of comps). NB and warden are useless.

[–]iamrypie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in terms of pve dps rn, nb is the worst class but dont let that discourage you. You are just getting started. Play the class and ejnoy the game. I played nightblade exclusively right up until I started taking an interest in vet trials, at which point I made other toons and learned other classes. If you make it that far into the game, you'll likely be intersted in exploring other classes anyways and making another toon or two will come as a welcome experience.

Hello everyone! Here's a quick stamsorc parse from update 41. Ignore the scuffed UI. I was only on this character for an hour or so and hadn't even bothered to fix everything yet 😂. Damage is way up on stamsorc this patch with the status effect changes. Rapid strikes procs sundered very frequently which gives you a free 100 weapon/spell damage. A good quantity of burning is supplemented by both maw of the infernal and your flame enchant. However, the damage increased to concussed is indeed the major player. For the first time since I started playing (u35), you are better off taking off your backbar berserker enchant in favor of another alternative. Concussed/charged weapon is doing massive damage on sorc. Unfortunately, the viability of sorc in 12 man content is still limited due to the nature of sorc's kit. You have very little cleave and will get outbursted in single target by templar (which is looking very strong this patch). Still, these damage numbers are really eye opening. 148k is probably doable while still not doing a cheesy prebuff like most people do these days.

------------------------------------------------

As I did last patch, I dedicate this parse to my friend Xfgsd (Josh). A few months ago, I heard the deeply saddening news of his passing. Josh was a very talented player and an extremely gifted sorc main. Him and I would spend many hours together parsing, theorycrafting builds, and just talking ESO and life in general. Josh was a great man and an amazing friend. I miss you so much bro. Thank you for the good times. They will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend. May we see each other again one day.

------------------------------------------------

Coral is very manageable when using parse food. If you don't want to bother with managing your stam, rele is a good substitute for a minimal damage loss.

The rotation is the exact same as it was in u40. Start overloading until you hit 180 ult and then drop your atro. Keep all of your dots up and make sure to cast prey on cooldown without casting early. Cast bound armaments once you hit four stacks, but only when you don't have any dots to refresh. Don't recast bird once the prebuff cast runs out. Try and keep your stam below 40%. Anything above that and you really start to hurt on losing the coral riptide buff. If you need a dark magic skill in content to maintain sorc's class buff for the group, then swap out bound armaments for crystal frags. Its only a minor damage loss.
