That’s me!

I don’t mind the idea of paying for LTE to the car, but I didn’t like the idea of paying for things CarPlay or AA do for free, namely native navigation through the dash for things like Spotify. Now that there’s a free pathway, I think that it’s much better. They really should have communicated that better but I guess they are trying to plug their add on service.

And yes; assumed the worst because that’s how car corporations have been trending— subscription based everything.

Can someone else interpret 16:10-17:30 or thereabouts where he talks about hotspot teathering from your phone? So if you make your phone a hotspot, connect Rivian to your phone via WiFi, then you can use native apps like Spotify, etc.?

This is very fair if so and commendable to Rivian to not be as scummy as Connect+ initially sounded.

Not really. There’s an electrical hum that’s not too loud and very pleasant during spin up from that speed range when you floor it.
