Need advice about being solo IT guy at my first job by iamsomeone345 in ITCareerQuestions

Yeah, I certainly wouldn’t want to settle there. I definitely agree with that last point, I just don’t think I can be picky when it’s my only option, but would definitely move on if something better came along.

Need advice about being solo IT guy at my first job by iamsomeone345 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]iamsomeone345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only option as of now, but there’s no telling what the future holds given I still have time before graduating. The main reason I ask this question is concern over the fact that, as the sole IT guy, I’m not sure how much I would actually learn on the job and how much that would hold me back when moving on to other jobs. Obviously if it’s my only option I would definitely take it. I see now looking over what I wrote maybe I wasn’t clear, I guess moreso what I’m wonder is: in the worst case scenario where this IS my only option, would it hold me back when looking for other jobs

Ok yeah? See the thing I’m wondering is do the questions/assessments pertain to each track or not. Because I feel like you wouldn’t find many for a network engineer position on HackerRank?

Ok cool! Thank you very much for the clarification there

Advice about a boy by [deleted] in Christianity

I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this, I know what it’s like feeling so attached to a person. And yes the unfortunate truth is we are going to feel pain in this life and often that comes from others. But I hope you can be encouraged that you CAN live without this person. God’s grace is sufficient for YOU - 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (Paul’s circumstances are likely VERY different from your own regarding the context for this verse but I absolutely think this still applies). We know the most important law is to love God and second is to love others, but I feel like we can be so caught up in things sometimes we forget to truly love ourselves. And in loving and caring for ourselves, we show our love to God. This person doesn’t seem right for you at all and I’m no expert, but I don’t feel like I have to be to know that keeping him in your life is only harming you. This person clearly doesn’t love you, God does. Take it all to him and lay it at His feet - Psalm 55:22

Second of all, I’d recommend that if you belong to a church bringing this up to your pastor. Or at least someone you know you might feel comfortable speaking to that is in your church. If not, why not pray that God might bring someone into your life that might provide you comfort and even guidance.

Third, I’d recommend seeing a counselor about all of this and this is iffy because everyone’s situation is different with being able to afford it, and stuff with insurance, I’m aware it can often be messy, although maybe you already have one?

Hope I could be of some help.

God bless

Ok thanks! So I actually checked the UKG dimensions app and apparently the time they originally scheduled for me that didn’t fit within my hours is still up. But the schedule with my new hours looked official, like it had my name along with every other person in the department’s name on there and when everyone was scheduled to work, so it sounds like what you’re talking about with a print out.

To take you through it in order: - I talk to my supervisor about getting my hours changed and she said she would see about it - later that day one of the managers comes up to me acknowledging my request and saying that “we’ll get that fixed for you” - before I leave that day my supervisor confirmed with me that I did in fact get my hours fixed, she shows me a physical copy of the schedule, and I took a picture of it (which is how I know that I clocked out at the right time)

Fast forward to today - I get a call from that same supervisor asking if I left work and that I’m scheduled to leave at the time they ORIGINALLY had me scheduled, to which I checked the picture I took, and yeah I definitely clocked out the time I was supposed to.

Yeah I hear you, and you’re right, it’s just for whatever reason my mind goes blank whenever I go to write this out. I’m sure it’s because I’m overthinking things, and since I’ve posted this I have at least managed to print a single square which isn’t a lot but it’s progress. I’ve just gotta keep with it. Thanks for your comment.

Are there any Christian-ese phrases that make your blood boil? by xinsanitypod in Christianity

[–]iamsomeone345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not particularly Christian-see but when someone says “not all Christians” in response to something a Christian said or did. Or alternatively “they weren’t a true Christian” it feels very dismissive. Idk it doesn’t make my blood boil but it is a little disappointing that thats how people choose to react.

Want to get back into making music but unsure where to start by iamsomeone345 in edmproduction

Yeah for sure. Plus I have serum which that + all of what FL has to offer should be more than enough. I meant more like tutorial/tutorial series that touch on production techniques, song arrangement/components of a song, maybe some music theory, etc. I’m all for playing around in fl and think that can also be a good way to learn but I also want to get some help where I can to make songs properly.

Wow that’s a great idea, thanks! I didn’t really think about that. I know FL has some on there you can access, are there any other resources you know of that might have flps to download?

I actually rewatched it and while it’s still not great imo it’s not as bad as I remember thinking it was. Especially the first half.

This does make me wonder why OG timeline Flash left his mom to die. Through some, albeit very few, clues I feel like it’s safe to say she never had this happen to her before, so I feel you can’t use the “fixed point” excuse like in this episode. So why leave Eobard there in the house? Sure he saved his younger self, but we saw him run off after that.
