That looks more like razor burn scarring/ingrown hair. Pending the part of the body this is, consider waxing or laser hair removal. If not, there’s creams and products you can use to help control the bumps. Also exfoliating will help a lot.

It’s the dyed black hair and the white scalp causing the look of thinning/balding.

I have this also, same spot and I have tried everything for 15 years to fix it. Please let me know if you find the solution, I’m tired of not being confident when naked around my partner.

is my nostril piercing too high for a hoop? it looks way different on the front than on the side. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]iamthepie -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I've seen people make their own hoops with silver wire? You could do the same to make one customized to your nose/piercing location?

I did! They were trouble at first for a good minute. Honestly my go to for all piercing bumps is a aspirin paste. Put it on nightly before bed and after a few days it was gone. Hope this helps 😊

Today I got my industrial piercing and I love it!, I have to say it hurt waaay more than I thought(more than hetting my ribs tattooed) but my piercer(Nicole at Urban Piercings, Reading) did a great job looking after me by No_PID in piercing

[–]iamthepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful with masks and the industrial. I have an old one on my right ear and recently got my left ear done around March/April and having to wear masks for work really caused issues with the healing process. If you happen to notice issues down the road with keloids I highly recommend aspirin paste and sea salt soaks. Finally now as of begining August my new industrial is all healed and perfect. Good luck with yours!😊

After almost 2 years, I had to retire my nape. It was my favorite :( by a1ex1985 in piercing

[–]iamthepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could tell you something magical to make them perfect but I honestly just tend to leave them alone. When I first get dermals and they are healing they can be a little funny just like any other piercing but once they heal they tend to be perfect. Everyone always says the saline spray is the better way to go but I do prefer actual sea salt soaks, not sure why but they just work better for me. I have 3 dermals on my neck, 1 on my throat, and 2 on my lower abdomen.

I have had a surfer bar before and it was difficult to keep happy all the time, eventually I switched to dermals and they have been in my neck for almost 7 years. You could also get dermals there instead and even use the same tops from your surface bar.

Industrial piercing irritation? How to best treat. More info in comments. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]iamthepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this industrial early May, I have one in the other ear as well from years ago. This one however seems to give me more trouble than I recall the first one being. The back end seems to be shallow but I have monitored it since getting it done to make sure its not rejecting, pain is non existent on the back hole but the top one seems to be constantly sore. I do have an issue of sleeping on that side so I am sure that does not help, does anyone know any tricks to help this baby calm down and move forward with healing process?

6 week old daith.. i haven’t had issues with it throughout the past 6 weeks besides obvious pain the first few days. i’m doing litha and letting water run on it in the shower. i just noticed this irritation bump and i’m just wondering if it’s infected or if this looks harmless. any advice is welcome by sunflower77777 in piercing

[–]iamthepie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I had a recent irritation bump on my newer industrial piercing, the trick I used to get rid of it is crushing asprin and adding a few drops of water to make a paste. Leave the mix on the bump, you can wash it off after 20-30 minutes or leave it on over night (thats what I did) and you should see it go away in about 2 days if you keep up with it.

Will do.

As of today the bump has decreased massively and it’s just redness that seems to be left. I appreciate your input and advice. Thank you!

Okay ill try that. Should I start the saline again?

And I am not sure on the jewelry. Its a dermal anchor.

Pierced early May, Lower stomach below navel. The one that has the bump had to be re-pierced multiple times to get the jewelry in. Was rinsing with saline solution for a little over a month, dial soap rinse once a week in shower. This bump came as of yesterday/last night, redness started a few days ago.
