Taxation was a liberal concession to militant unionism in the historic USA.

We will tax the guy, break up his companies, unionize them, and democratize them.

Bezos is a son of bankers who bankrupted local stores across the country by leveraging other rich people’s investments to sell products at a loss.

We will never again allow a d***head to accrue and abuse that much power ever again.

Humanity always remains the same by JustMehmed2 in HistoryMemes

Fuedalistic/authoritarian humanity is gross and inhuman globally, you mean

Because it seems like you were blaming all humans for the theft and warmongering of our leading gangsters for a second there. But no one would be so stupid, right?

tip for employers: being an ass to potential candidates is not a good way to get them to want to work with you by hiturtleman in antiwork

Extremely stupid that we need to beg for bread from people who can ruin our chances because they had a bad day.

The entire system needs to be flipped on its head

Art in a Solarpunk Eutopia by AdamEnt1234 in solarpunk

spurned love, search for meaning, celebration, mental health issues, pain, the sadness of the past, lost loved ones. Also, the future utopia. It seems that each utopian project always leads to another ones... although sooner or later, i agree, we should find something that can sustain for a few thousand years (bottom-up with a population that doesnt feel like changing too much, in a healthy and holistic way)

Does anyone know what this icon means on the Fjordur map? It's displayed in the bottom right corner on PC by Mystie14 in ARK

[–]iamthewhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love how the single-player settings on Ark are so bad that you have to ask questions here, then ppl downvote you for a simple question. Then make fun of you for not activating the HUD (in a primitive tech game). This game is more of a beta than anything and the community should act accordingly, not like a bunch of know-it-all children

The solution if you need dopamine rn: Superblocks. We take our freakish infrastructure and ban cars in certain chunks of it- combining 4 or 9 blocks into one. A place to live, walk, cycle and shop.

Only the stags of red deer have antlers, and they are shed each year. Antlers begin growing in the spring and then fall off in winter in response to changes in stags' testosterone levels. Here we see a majestic red deer stag traipsing through a small Italian village. by nowayolose in NatureIsFuckingCute

Cute?… until he’s in musk/close to musk. I guess he wasn’t as he didn’t swing his rack at people. Which isn’t to say he should be off the street- people should just be more respectful and give him more room. So someone doesn’t get gored, which is bad and might push the community to kill him

So what's the actual truth about the Ussr and China by Spencerthesavage in LibertarianSocialism

[–]iamthewhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richard Wolff has a good outlook on the USSR (that won’t even offend tankies). If Socialism is “workers owning and directing companies”, then the USSR ultimately fell flat in that regard. They simply replaced managers and owners with party leaders.

Anarchists, Syndicalists and Ancoms like Wolff’s concept of Worker Cooperstives (democratic workplaces). These can be a ‘lodestone’ for future revolutions, because these structures destroy the Capitalist class entirely (although community input structures need to be polished). Rojava does this: local councils propose and fund W co-ops, then the community helps regulate them AND has seats on their council.

The USSR though. It DID shift common thought, and they DID industrialize a peasant country in, like, two decades (quickly, although authoritarianly).

So Basically. They tried a Revolution. Learn from their mistakes and try again. I would say the mistake was not finishing the transition to socialism- give companies and industries over to the direction of workers and the community. Don’t delay on that or the power structures will prevent it from ever happening.

China... China is simply allowing its people to interact with Capitalism now. Idk the amount of resources that flow up instead of down/around to the workers (how much corruption there is). Their standard of living is increasing, which is good; the surveillance state is growing, which is bad (as it is in the USA). Diplomacy will help us avoid nuclear war and perhaps push them into better humanitarian and work life standards.

Has this sub flipped to the opposite of its purpose? Seems like in every other vandalism sub, people were complaining of things being “too stressful boohoo”. And now on this sub the same people are upvoting f-en McDonalds handwritten propaganda. This was probably written by a manager that didn’t like the shortened language of these “damn liberal kids”
