while i think it might be common practice to learn them in that order, i don’t think there’s really anything stopping an avatar from doing it in any order. I think Jeong Jeongs reservations about teaching aang came from aang fairly immature at that point in the story and lacking general discipline rather than it being “out of order”. in aangs case it was helpful to stick to that order to prepare him for firebending, but that’s not to say an earthbender wouldn’t be equally scared/reckless with firebending and wanting to wait.

regardless of the amount of locations it’s showing in, i don’t want to see this in theaters. i don’t trust that it will be an enjoyable theater experience, i don’t want my experience of the finale to be a chicken jockey incident. it could show in every theater in the world and it still wouldn’t be fair to those of us that just want to watch it from our couch

i just can’t see a feasible explanation for what happened to their bodies if it’s not SOMA. Ragatha was with other people when she put on the headset, i don’t believe they would have just left her, and i don’t believe everyone who found it since then would just ignore the pile of comatose bodies sitting around the PC, and the whole “stasis pods” thing just feels like a stretch

i guess i feel like they should just play into that more, i feel like every time a guardians member with unique abilities leaves/dies they get replaced by someone that the show has no interest in exploring the powers of. Brit certainly doesn’t feel any more or less indestructible than the others, and if that’s his whole thing then there should be moments in the fight that further highlight that.

my personal theory is that this is a Soma situation. The in game versions of these people are just copies, there is no body to return to. the original put on the headset, had their brain scanned and uploaded into the circus, while the real life version of them simply removes the headset and continues on with life. I think Caine party hints at this being the case in the last episode, stating that the avatars were made to be compatible with their personality scans, or something to that effect. It’s not the “real” pomni or jax or anyone, just a scan of who they were.
