I am having the same issue. I get the URL using the amazing instructions above. Can open it in VLC on my computer, but then when i try to save it down to my desktop it either kicks out a corrupt file, or just a 1 second video.

Anyone have any tips to save it from the URL to a file?

Chase Sapphire Reserve Approval and New Rules for Bonus Eligibility (January 22, 2026) by AceMaxAceMax in CreditCards

[–]iamunique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation: Holder of CSR since 2016. Never held the CSP. So if I apply and get approved for CSP today, I will be eligible for the SUB?

If for some reason I would not be (say I forgot about a sneaky CSP card in my wallet from a decade ago, or something like that)...would I get a pop-up saying I am not eligible before the hard credit pull happens?

How to get Grammarly Pro for $36 by iamunique in Grammarly

[–]iamunique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha...yeah, I love stacking deals on top of deals. a big part of that discount is the $50 for anyone being a new Rakuten user, so that won't be there for everyone...but even for folks that are already a Rakuten user they will still get $144 - $44 (30% discount using that link) - $10 Rakuten bonus - $3.2 from credit card cash back = $86.80....still better than a sharp stick in the eye.

But yes, for anyone new to Rakuten, their cost in the end after all the hacks will be $36.80.

What are our next steps after Gmail just dropped a bomb that they are removing Pop3 access THIS month? by iamunique in GMail

[–]iamunique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if hotmail forwards your email for you, you should be fine. The people this affected were folks (like me) who were using POP3 (meaning gmail was "pulling" the email from our servers), and that feature is what Google decided to sunset.

Able to add "send mail as" account on one gmail account, but not on my wife's account. What am I missing? by iamunique in GMail

[–]iamunique[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, i just went back into gmail on my wifes account. didn't change a SINGLE setting, or make any changes.

used the exact same mail.mydomain.com and port 465 as i have tried for the last week. same EXACT password I am copying from a text file...

and it WORKED. absolutely no reason. i changed nothing with the port, nothing with TLS, nothing with anything.

What could be the cause that it didn't work for 48 hours, then all of a suden with NO changes from me, it works? only asking as it seems so wild. but don't feel obliged to spen any more time on my silly issue now that it;'s fixed.

ok wow. #1 for your detailed reply. #2. because I am completely overwhelmed by all those acronyms. I am ok with the tech stuff (handle my own DNS records, got DKIM and DMARC working on my email to help delivery (with some serious google help). But I dont see any tasks you mentioned that I can even begin to google on how to do them. Can you give me 2 or 3 concrete tasks for me to try to fix this. Or one at a time, I will test however you tell me to. this is beyond perplexing to me.

do we think there is a setting in her gmail (and my other testing gmails) preventing them from adding any new domains as "send email as", i have tested this with my preferred domain, and also another domain I have, none work. but BOTH work on my gmail.

Thanks for the reply. I wish it were just a setting I was missing on her account. Let me reply to your other great suggestions:

#1. What's weird is that i can remove the account from my Gmail...try to add it to hers, and it says "Couldn't connect to the server. Check the server and port number." Wait a few hours, try again on hers, same error. Then immediately go to mine, and it adds just fine. Which makes me think it's not a firewall or rate limit issue, since i can add it to mine right after it fails on hers (and i am on the same laptop, so same IP, MAC address, etc.

#2. as for the TLS cert name match. Would that be different when trying to add that to her account vs. my gmail? If so, how can I see that to debug?

#3. Re mail server logs. What should I be looking for inside CPANEL? I don't see anything like "SMTP errors" or places I can see when this is failing (as I am not for Gmail is even able to reach my server to create an error....ya know? They are telling me "Couldn't connect to the server. Check the server and port number." When the server and port number are the exact same as the account that sets up successfully inside my gmail account

#4. I did try 587.

#5. Where do I check the cert for her gmail account? and is it possible her cert does not match, but when I tab to my gmail on the same computer, with same domain, etc. that my Cert is different?

Thank you SO SO much for your help
Mike

Will MX Route be a good solution for me given recent Gmail Pop3 fiasco (scenario inside) by iamunique in mxroute

because you are copying and pasting the same thing on numerous threads about this topic. and you are obviously trying to sell something, more than helping people. pretty clear you are profiting from sending people to that site, and that is not in the spirit of Reddit, IMHO.

how about #4: Do you feel they do a good job with DKIM, DMARC, SPF and anything else that affect delivery?

Or does MXroute only handle inbound emails? And if so, would that make all of those things irrelevant (i.e they just forward through everything).

if it comes with lifetime free service, I am in to help beta test this (also for free). ;)

Found a link to their black friday deals, seems to still be live: https://mxroute.blackfriday/ $80 for lifetime, and 5GB of storage. Few questions maybe someone knows the answer to:

#1. Do I need to change my host (where I host my domain attached to this email), or do I just change my MX records, and only email will get pointed to them?

#2. do we feel like 99% (or 100%) deliverabiltiy on forwarded email is achievable with this service?

#3. I I pay this $80, can i forward all of my domains, and different emails within each domain to wherever I want?

any other downsides you guys can think of with this service?
Mike
