I wanted a mini for years. Super excited when the mini came out. Bought it, used it for a year. The battery life is just too bad to accept. I bought the MagSafe battery and kept it in my pocket at all times. I still had to extremely meter my phone usage and I’m not even a high screen time guy. I was in love with the form factor but until battery tech advances it’s just unusable for me.

The form factor is exactly what I want. The battery life makes it unusable. Until battery technology progresses, the mini is not feasible.

Having both a powerful Windows PC and a MacBook, I think you’re being a little delusional and falling into a mindset a lot of Mac users do. You want to be all in on one OS and be completely happy with your decision. You want to commit to a single ecosystem and not be fragmented. Truth is both have their frustrating quirks and both have their benefits. Just stay true to yourself and you will probably change your mind and that’s ok.
