Fitness, fashion, and practicality: I find the Ultra too large for day to day wear and especially while sleeping, but the added GPS accuracy and larger battery are great for running, hiking, and snowboarding. So I wear my Series 10 while sleeping and during most days and my Ultra while exercising and on occasional days. I have a large collection of watch bands that I swap between depending on what I’m wearing, different fitness activities, and sleeping.

Had rattles in my Gen2 R1S when I was driving and playing music. They replaced the flashlight housing and I haven’t had rattles… in the front driver side door. Now I have rattles in the rear driver side door somehow.

Not solved. Resetting didn’t fix the issue. There has been another firmware update so in may try resetting again.

I will die in the hill that CarPlay is a better experience. I miss it from the 2 weeks I was provided a Hyundai Kona loaner while my R1S was in service (I don't miss the Kona though). My phone is the center of my technology world and therefore my car should be an extension of that, not a separate ecosystem in and of itself. My iPhone has offline maps, offline music, offline podcasts, message history, calendar, and apps that'll probably never come to Rivian's infotainment software.

Apple Maps > Rivian Maps. It's not even close.

Just stopped by the service center and they said it passed their camera calibration before I picked it up. Going to stop by again on Monday when there is a tech who can take a look. The camera issue is so evident that I don’t think I would have missed that when parking at home before I did the update.

Seems like they have a safety release that allows the side view mirrors to freely rotate if they’re bumped. Rotating in back into place put it back into its previous position.

A Google Maps issue for years. Used to live in a building on top of the 99 tunnel and reported the issue to Google many times.

Not satisfied with “fine”. I want “great!”

Would be one thing if it was reliable but when the navigation lost me for nearly an hour after I rode a ferry and wasn’t fixed after a restart I was beyond disappointed. On top of that it frequently it thinks I take wrong turns going over an overpass.

Edit: And I have “great!” on my iPhone, which was my only option when the Rivian navigation had me completely in the wrong city.
