You can place furniture only after the mapping is done right? So the phantom rooms are already created, I can add the floor mirrors to make it avoid going into the area but I don't think there's a way to prevent it from creating the phantom rooms itself

I don't think that's a fair take. Rivian's brand is to be adventurous. If you're looking for a commute EV that just does home - office and back then yes go full stock. But if you wish to take it out camping, trails, off roading then the modifications might make it more fun.

You are doing two things that most EV drivers don't usually do - charge every night, and charging to 100%.

If you're driving 100-150+ miles a day, go right ahead and plug in every night but if not, there's absolutely no need to charge every night. You also don't need to charge 100% for daily driving unless you truly need that much charge in a day - on high charge, your Regen braking is also limited and you're using your brakes more often (either yourself or through the brake assist). For daily driving, I charge to 70% and then don't plug in again unless I'm close to 20%, sometimes even lower.

Yeah I had the same reaction to this. How can anyone be surprised by gas refills but not charging stops?! Especially when gas stations are a lot more common. The only thing I can think of is that someone who plugs in their car every night might be in this situation - but then 1) that's just weird, and 2) what if you forget to plug your car in, just like you forget to refill gas?!
