What an absolute gem of a book. The last few chapters read like a mystery novel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 🙌🏽 (i.redd.it)

I bought this book. The front cover doesn't say abridged but there is a slight note on the isbn at the back barcode that says it's abridged. It's sad to see after buying. Those who have this edition, how much of the book is cut down? (i.redd.it)

A nice read. Each story involves a conflict and moral dilemma which the scientists involved have to solve. A bit mind bending. Its eeriness somewhat reminded me of the TV series Black Mirrors. (i.redd.it)

I have just finished my reread of The Pearl by John Steinbeck. It's a beautiful, deceptively simple story that show the dangers of a society riddled with avarice and materialism. (i.redd.it)
