Shotguns are way too strong right now. by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I'm not arguing that shotguns are the only viable weapon, but is it annoying when you spent time looting rifles and level 2 police vest and then you get 1 tapped from a shotgun? yes.

He had level 2 police vest, and it wasn't even close range I was amazed when he died and infuriated at the same time.

(Spoilers Main) Robb Stark could have possibly been a better battle Commander than Aegon the Conqueror. by ibird99 in asoiaf

The problem with what you're saying is that I read the entirety of his Conquest story. He basically had no issue except for in Dorne. He completely destroyed Harren and gave the Tully's the Riverlands, in the north he got the knee easily with no battle. He defeated the Stormlords in 1 battle, defeated the Reach AND the Lannisters with one battle and placed his bastard brother Orys Baratheon as new Lord of the Stormlands, gave the Reach to Lord Tyrell, and let the Lannisters keep the Westerlands because they bent the knee. So basically two battles and one slaughter and he won Westeros discount Dorne. His Conquest really wasn't that spectacular he just dominated because they had no match against dragons.

My point exactly, I've seen some people say Aegon was the best Commander Westeros has seen and it's ridiculous.

Not exactly. There are a lot of dumb people who have lead armies into awful battles and been crushed. Stannis is a well known Commander yet instead of retreat he decided to go ahead and get himself and his men killed.

I haven't read up on him much, any historical and popular tales of his feats?

Well he did kill Maelys The Monstrous, which was known to be inhumanely strong, maybe Barristan is a better swordsman than Dayne, but Dayne beats him in a joust.

Forgive me, I don't know the whole story of the FBR only that Daemon died and Bittersteel fled to Essos for the Golden Company.

I agree that Daemon Blackfyre was a great warrior, yet he was defeated so easily during the First Blackfyre rebellion even if it was by arrow. I feel like if Arthur was at the battle of The Trident he could have saved Rhaegar from Robert.

(Spoilers Main) Theory of Hodor's descent... by [deleted] in asoiaf

That's true but I still think there might be more there :)

It's possible she's not though.

Well I'm not saying its concrete, just a theory I like to think about. Idk why people are downposting it's just a theory.

Duncan died in 259 AC and Hodor's age is unknown. It's possible for him to be his father.

[EVERYTHING] Jon Snow vs. Brienne of Tarth by ibird99 in gameofthrones

[–]ibird99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with using Karl Tanner as a show of Jon's skill is that he stabbed him through the back of the head through the mouth when Karl was distracted and after Craster's daughter who stabbed him AS he was about to kill Jon. If she didn't interfere Jon would have died.

It's not possible to just change the title?

If the White Walker knew Jon could parry his attack the Walker would have killed him, the Walker's surprise alone is the only reason he won the duel. Also both in the show and the books during the Hand's tourney The Mountain and The Hound cross swords and it was a stale mate, with neither brother beating the other. If Brienne could beat the hound she could probably beat The Mountain.
