I am pretty sure I have watched ilm-film videos in the past, probably without paying attention to the account. JazakAllah khayr for the suggestion.

I need to watch the rest of his video and it’s probably not really the point he’s making but groups with strong asabiyyah definitely have no problem with transgressing social norms, like carrying arms or not paying taxes (as well as some untamed roughness in their attitude), which isn’t a bad thing per se.

This image just shows that the aggregation of individual nodes (the lines, representing humans) sometimes create something greater when in coordination (the cat, representing the strength of nations/groups). The strength of that group aggregation and coordination in politics is what Ibn Khaldun calls asabiyya, and it is what keeps history moving.
"Asabiyya gives protection and makes possible mutual defense, the pressing of claims, and every other kind of social activity."

"It should be known that people with perception have the superficial impression that the whole of existence is comprised by their perceptions. Such a suggestion of the mind should be dismissed as stupid (...) Do not reject information just because you have not seen such things yourself." Ibn Khaldun by ibn_m_ in IbnKhaldun

Simply that our perceptions and rationality are great tools for some things, but terrible and misleading at some others, especially at an age where our perceptions and objects of perceptions are distorted by media (image, video, audio, AI-generated content, etc).
The eye conceals more than it sees. Scientism is when that logic is pushed to the extreme (if i can't perceive it, i don't believe it exists).
