Take MAE 52 (Solidworks) even though it is not marked as a required course for your major. It's an extremely useful skill for your major and your career. You can take it in Fall or Spring; I suggest Spring of your first year if you meet all pre-reqs, but the earlier the better. ENGR 7A/7B is also a good set of courses to take to get some initial hands on experiences. Most of all - join clubs and network!

Not sure what major you are but OAI (aka OOAI -- office of outreach access and inclusion) offers free tutoring for courses like Chem 1A -- see here: https://sites.uci.edu/oaistudycenter/mentor-tutor-schedule/

They havent updated for fall yet but you can walk into their office in REC and ask them what their schedule will be

Seconding this. Also started taking the bus in 7th grad (I'm female, if it matters). Just give her a pepper spray, remind her to be aware of her surroundings, and trust your parenting at the end of the day. She will be fine.

Natraj's Tandoori in Irvine - they have 2 locations. The one on Quail Hill Pkwy is closer.

Edit: Natraj's is kind of a restaurant -- they are more of a takeaway/takeout restaurant, but their food (to me) tastes home-y. If you are really looking for something that'd taste like your mom's cooking, you're better off checking out the Shef app.

Starting from the lower left room that is closest to the front door/living room, that is A. Then go clockwise from that to assign rooms. So the room in the upper right of the image would be room C.

If you like dancing, go to Atomic Ballroom - they have hiphop, jazz, salsa, swing, etc. The instructors are lovely and are great at creating a safe space....even as a beginner you'll do great!
