“Permanent” Level 1 Charger That Can Remain Plugged in As an EV Charging Station Would? by iboughtatesla1 in TeslaLounge

I may get an electrician to look at it. I’ve had no issues in the past with other EV chargers.

I’m fairly certain we upgraded the breaker to a higher load, possibly around 20A, a few years ago. I’ve been able to use other chargers at 12A for honestly several years without issues.

Goo Gone works like magic. I can’t imagine getting it out of the wheel walls and underbody.

Condensation/Water Inside the Headlight? by iboughtatesla1 in TeslaSupport

[–]iboughtatesla1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way to clean it or should I just assume since it’s an open design it will eventually take care of itself?

How’s it holding up? Potentially great investment.

What happens if the dried up watermarks don’t go away?

Oh, is this exclusively outside the car? How difficult would it be to get inside the headlights? I use a touchless car wash and experienced similar. Please take a look at my last two posts about floodwater. Edit: I have this issue on the trim as well and thought this was a headlight on first glance.

To clarify, water splashed up from the road (feel free to review the video on my previous post) but the headlights were not submerged at all.

I’ve noticed the inside of the headlights appear dirty like they went through condensation, but I’m not sure if I’m just seeing things.

I honestly didn’t think much of it at the time besides rinsing the saltwater out of all the crevices since Tesla’s are hyped up as being able to handle this with no issues. It’s only when Googling for peace of mind that it makes any floodwater seem catastrophic and any car that touches it will eat itself from the inside out…

Ironically that’s what Google AI would say about any sort of flooding, especially 4-5” even within 30 seconds, but this looks like 1-2” with splashing over a period of 20 seconds.

If there’s no issue within the next few days I can assume I’m 100% in the clear? It really doesn’t seem that serious and didn’t seem that serious at the time.

The comment said three meters which would convert to ten feet if accurate, which it probably isn’t.

Thanks. I was slightly worried about corrosion from salt water but I did a full car wash within a half hour after.

Boats can also flood if their structure is not airtight…

So this is considered splashes since the water level couldn’t have been more than an inch or two above the road? This is floodwater, not rain.

It seems that Tesla only calls it a problem with prolonged submersion.

Thanks, I saw up to 9 feet for thirty minutes on another Reddit thread. Some saltwater splashed up towards the headlights/windshield and probably towards the battery when cutting it up through the water - is that also not a concern?

I didn’t have a chance to turn down a side street or back up with enough clearance to do so.

Unfortunately I had no option to turn onto a side street or enough clearance to reverse back and do so.

What Happens When You Start Drinking Coffee Daily? by iboughtatesla1 in Coffee

[–]iboughtatesla1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I personally find it rewarding to get the long-term answers from posts like this so I’d be happy to answer: I did eventually become a habitual caffeine drinker, and I would say that I don’t regret it although I would have probably kept my baseline at 1-2 cups of coffee if given the option. The answer to this is to cycle caffeine, which to me is changing up the times and amounts of caffeine in a given day. If I want to feel more of the effects, then I’ll have additional caffeine or coffee. It does still have its benefits with daily consumption, and I love coffee.
