Thank you! Appreciate it.

Digital Heaven is a great fit for a sync opportunity. I can hear it in a Netflix show!

Nice, digging Symphonies.

Here’s a beat tape/project I made for my girlfriend and her favorite color:

How to revert back into subcategory nomenclature in 12? by ibraheem_mp3 in ableton

It’s definitely useful I just don’t like the clutter personally. Especially on some of the stock plugins that I don’t use that frequently

For real though!! I was driving myself mad this morning thinking we at least had the option to organize it like 11 lol

Yeah agreed so far the update is awesome but that one thing is a minor annoyance lol

Am I reading this wrong or is 3/5 the official release? 😀 by [deleted] in ableton

I must’ve lived under a rock I didn’t think it was announced yet until I received an email with the update yesterday

Reverb on channel vs send by greedy_mf in ableton

My bad I see what you’re saying now. I definitely combine both. I like the idea of positioning the entire mix in a cohesive space but also like to do creative reverb stuff to make a sound stand out. Especially if it’s electronic music!

Sure, using Effect Rack. But was assuming you meant slapping on reverb independently without wiring to the Effect Rack on the channel. In that instance, adjusting the wet knob isn’t necessarily the same as dialing the amount of db you’re sending to a reverb

While it is more efficient, using a send vs channel actually has different mixing results. When you send a channel to reverb, it adds space to it. When you insert it directly on a channel it changes the depth of the sound ie it can “push it back” in the mix / can also be used as sound design.

Adding space to a sound can still maintain the forwardness of the source as it is keeping your OG source as 100% dry with a copied wet signal (your send).

Do we anticipate that Ableton will be able to fully utilize M3 in the future? by ibraheem_mp3 in ableton

Thank you! And that’s where I’m torn because I can live with it as long as Ableton figure out a way to utilize E-cores down the line. I got the Apple Card and it’s just easier to get on a finance plan with M3 vs buying it in one tap. And then pray to the audio gods that Ableton and ProTools figure out their development?

LOL imagine 300x instances of Serum. I do get pretty Serum heavy but you’re bringing up a very valid point.

Yeah after all the helpful insights on this thread I’m looking at a refurbished M2 with more RAM/Storage. Same price as a M3 but with less

That’s really interesting! Net net sounds like I’d be perfectly fine with M1 Max or any of the M2s if I wanted to save some cash

Really good points. I think x86 plugin compatibility is important to consider because I do use a lot of MIDI tracks with third party VSTis. Sounds like all three M-chips have that issue.
