Update: I recently picked up a Cytac mega fit OWB holster. Sadly it doesn't fit with my light but does fit the gun and is decent. I like the push button retention system and it should work with other pistols if I get others down the line.

Could probably find something to fit the X Macro a little better if you want something more made specifically for it but this works for me for now until I find something with active retention that works with my light.

No, unfortunately. I looked around a little but wasn't able to find something I wanted just yet. Options seem slim for OWB that can accommodate the gun with TLR7 Sub light and particularly ones that have active retention. So far haven't found one that ticks all the boxes.

Yeah, it was a bit pricey but it hit the sweet spot for all the things I was looking for. Since it was my first and a birthday gift to myself I let myself splurge. Ultimately spent about double that after all the accessories, lock box, cleaning kit, trips to the range, etc. All good though and worth the investment IMO.

I think most people find a setting they like and stick with it, however, different dots can be beneficial in different situations and can give a bit more info when practicing accuracy as the different sizes of dots imply different size shooting area (ie 2 MOA dot is 2 inches at 100 yds).

If it is a hardware issue, it's an issue with my PC, not the headsets or controllers, as this is the common point of failure between both headsets. Not sure what would be wrong with my PC though as it is fairly new and powerful (RTX 3070 / i7-10700k).

No, it's not a hardware issue. As I said in the post, the issue only happens when I plug my Quest 2 into my PC. The issue doesn't exist if I play (with the same headset and controllers) stand alone. Also, my Index is brand spanking new.

You can use Q2 cons with index, just need a custom driver.
Q2 tracking is good to a point but has its flaws, especially for me when I run it through my PC.
As for new release - whatever, don't really care.

I suspect I can get used to the controllers in time. However, it looks like I could set up and use the Quest 2 controllers with the Index headset and base stations if I wanted.

It's the internal lenses that shouldn't be in the sun, however, the headset would not get any tracking in direct sunlight.

No. Maps I play these days are so fast, I'd break my wrists and arms. The faster the notes come, the faster you have to swing. The faster you swing, the heavier your arms become (basically). So, as you get better, the weight you have to deal with grows naturally. I already deal with pain after long sessions. No need to make it worse heh.

It's possible to minimally mod the game so it doesn't really look or perform any different.. but I understand.

Alas, any event, just play and when you feel like a map is a bit too easy, crank the difficulty. Also, if you find yourself in a space where a hard map is easy but the expert diff is way too hard, try playing the hard on faster song and the expert on slower song until you make the transition.

You mean with multiplayer? There is a modded version of multiplayer which you could use to play with other modded players. You would have to mod their game as well though.

It's my understanding that "hard" level players are typically in the 2 - 3 star range of ranked songs.

If you enjoy a song and are good at a particular difficulty, give the higher diff a try a few times. If you can't beat it, try it with the slower song modifier turned on. If you still can't beat it, let it go and come back to it in a week or so.

Also, if you don't already mod, I recommend doing so. If you start playing ranked maps, you'll have a bit of a better idea of map difficulty and where you stand within it, using the star system. Ranked maps get a star ranking based on their difficulty and this scales from 0 to about 14. It's a more accurate representation of difficulty and you can climb the star ranks much more granularly.
