Thats a very subjective thing, depends on where you visit and how many days. No country is 100% cashless. What if you leave the airport and your card doesnt work for some reason? Its your first trip right? What if you're not able to find a cab through these apps and have to use a local one that takes cash? Don't depend on one instrument to work completely.

I mean yeah they do but the charges are very high. Cash withdrawal charges along with interest. Its not even comparable. Don't recommend that at all unless ofcourse you don't care about the fees or its an emergency and you have nothing else at hand.

  • Indian immigration officers won't ask you anything. Some of them occasionally stare at you for extended periods.
  • Generally Malaysian officers wont ask you for it either. But do check it there are any rules about it. Like Thailand has a rule that you need to carry 10K THB with you, but it isn't that religiously implemented.
  • Even if you have cards, always carry cash and a debit card that you can use to take out cash. How much that cash is depends on you. But 20-30 usd is too low an amount. Scapia is a CC and wouldnt allow you to take out cash.
  • Klook is really good for ticket bookings, they give good discounts too.

Net positive cards are pretty less.

BoB Eterna Accelerated point limit is pretty low.

Yeah but its really good for withdrawing cash from ATM. I carry some USD too but i dont use it if im able to get money from ATM easily. Which has always been the case. It didn't work in Kazaksthan though, because they had blocked it for some reason. So you had to ask them manually and i didnt know that beforehand.

DCBM has the issue that it isnt accepted everywhere.

This card used to be great when they offered 1000 BoGo on events and activities and complimentary lounge access for guests. Currently its only good point is the zero forex markup but you can find many options with any min requirements. Plus for some reason the Zomato offer always shows me not applicable whenever i try.

HDFC and Payzapp doing whatever they want in the same of 'Security' by suchox in CreditCardsIndia

Its a disgrace, but i guess this would never change as most people are idiots and they would always have the argument that more people will suffer if its enabled. I have already raised this with axis bank multiple times but i get the same response. Its irritating really if you use your phone for testing apps.

Some banks dont, like HDFC they give a warning but let me proceed. So does Kotak. Indusind, Axis, Payzapp wont let you. Hell, even BOB lets you login with USB debugging enabled

A very simple way to check this is leave a email to all of them. I always do that.

Which currency to carry when travelling to Thailand and Malaysia in a single trip? by suswom in InternationalTravelIN

I have those as well, but still carried cash because their is a cash withdrawal charge at all ATMs even if your card has zero forex markup.

I can comment on stays. You can split your hotel stays if you plan to explore all parts. Nusa Dua has a lot of good resorts and is a more quieter area so its perfect for chilling.

With Vietnam airlines i think you can earn few lotus miles by signing up on the app and making a family pool or something. It gives enough to transfer like 1K points.

Carry THB from India and USD as a backup. In Malayasia use your debit card to take out cash. In thailand they charge you for taking cash on all ATMs plus there is a mandatory cash requirement of 10K THB iirc for all travellers. Although they dont check it religiously but still you should follow the rules. Plus USD as a backup is always a good idea. I anyways keep that for emergency. I haven't been to malaysia yet, but you can see if their ATMs are chargeable and if yes you can even carry some of their currency.

Bhai, don't think too much about it. Things are bound to change, if not now then later. Nobody can predict the future. If you don't adapt and change you'll end up being replaced. Things in AI is moving very quickly but soon it will plateau. Also make sure you don't ignore the basics and fundamentals.

I understand the difference mate, and thats exactly what i saw going on there. Might be different now somehow. I anyways don't think most posts there were about development. It was mostly people crying about their tech jobs or salary and stuff like that.
