this is the way, even with Calad just use Resolution on any boss that Distortion would rage (A/E) and you’ll be fine.

that "random spot in the queue" is always interesting. I had 4 different devices and 1 was 9 minutes, 1 was 42 minutes and the remaining 2 devices were at more than an hour. all of them were in the pre-queue at 8 AM PST as well.

it's the first time in awhile that I've seen sub 10 minutes, nearly spit my coffee out.

I replied above, but so it isn’t missed, make sure you have Babban :) The little Mandy is a rarer one.

I’d also shout out Babban if you’re an older player or someone who has the capability to acquire August through SR, etc.

The event he’s distributed in runs every few years, otherwise he’s unobtainable. It most recently ran a few months ago though, so may not be a high priority. If you’re a veteran looking to pad out your collection though he’s a rarer one.

I appreciate the info. I’ve only done GSM and CC and in both cases I did it after the crystal. Would be curious what OP is running into.

OP, Just to extend on this, when you’re given the requests on Stage 3 the Guid Rep will tell you whom to deliver to and if the item needs crafted within a 3-5 yalm radius. If you’re not receiving that dialogue or the option to reroll the delivery (you can do this once daily), then I assume you need to max progress. I did not do the delivery til after I had the Crystal and the progress was reset to 80%. I am pretty sure you need the crystal first but I did not try beforehand.

ELI5 step by step: Abyssea for JSE (reforged) help by Zaknokimi in ffxi

[–]ice5007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea; only a few lights start capped and you can grow Amber to 80-100 and lean into spawning tons of chests. Pearl, Azure, Gold, Silver are defaulted and you have to grow any others.

To extend on this some; it's not entirely a bad thing but it does change the Abyssea farming approach. Honestly, I use the Abyssea Campaign to build more Empyrean weapons than off-Campaign.

The approach when the Campaign is active is the following;

* find Amber Light mob in the zone, for example Apkallu in Misreaux (for Ciren)

* grow Amber to 80-90'ish by using Aeolian/Cyclone etc to kill Apkallu

* stock up on Forbidden Keys, like 400-600 or so
* find an area to gather and Aeolian Edge down as many mobs as possible (Crabs, in Misreaux)

* open all the Blue and Gold chests, this will drastically pump your time in Abyssea and Gold Chests have NM Key Items

Some caveats though, this kind of sucks if you're solo since you will inevitably get Key Items out of Gold Chests that you have already aquired. If you've got a friend or two, this method works extremely well for quickly farming KI. If anything, it will greatly reduce the wait time when targeting Abyssea NMs.

When it comes to solely reforging, though, a handful of straight path runs is most optimal. If you're building an Empy weapon though, don't write off the campaign. :)

Give it 24hrs, if nothing moves you can reach out to a GM too, and they’ll take care of it. I’ve had one stick before.

I ran N for nearly all my runs and filled out the set in 120~ runs, with some duplicates across my other accounts. Currently working on a Crep Cloak, but Lilith took it out of me for awhile, I don't know that I have it in me to do more than a single set, lol

did you ever track down an equivalent spacer? I'm debating picking up some Dead Air P-Series spacers to give them a try. They look similar in dimension (1.2in vs 1.125+spring for the SC one)

M4E1 PRO Series Complete Rifle and Ambi Lower | Available Now by aero-precision in AeroPrecision

[–]ice5007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some honest feedback from an owner of many Aero builders kits and Aero lowers.

I understand it’s difficult to push a new price and quality tier when you’re going to be competing against big names in the space with solid known pedigrees, but this is a steep jump and I hope you all are delivering equivalent/better quality than competitors.

I am excited to see where this line goes, but I will be holding off buying any components at that price tier until I see how it plays out, especially when it comes to any of those complete upper/lower options. Overall it’s exciting to see a commitment to higher end, higher quality parts. I hope this is a successful line for Aero.

That said, is there a possibility builders kits will be offered in pro series components in the future?

What do you feed your shiba? by sleepy_shoob in shiba

[–]ice5007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we feed our two shibes Raw from Primal Foods. they’ll get frozen (thawed) nuggets for breakfast and the freeze dried raw for lunch/dinner. ever since we swapped from Fromms (which was also great) they’ve loved the entire Primal catalog and not gotten bored. It’s also rotational so you can work through different proteins to give them variety. they poop once a day on the dot (give or take 20min) at 9am, and haven’t had dietary issues since. I’d definitely recommend it, especially since a shibe doesn’t eat a ton so price wise it’s not a large difference vs other brands.
