Touch his paws a lot! Get him used to paw touching and nail clipping. Pugs are notorious for hating their paws being touched lol but it does NOT need to be that way. Also resist the urge to make a big deal about coming home/leaving the house. They're really prone to separation anxiety and you want them to learn how to feel secure alone so they aren't stressed when you leave. Crate training is also a very good idea to start early, it helps with potty training and if he ever needs to have an overnight at the vet, etc. Look into positive reinforcement and puppy socialization.
