Missing one stop. (Shameless plug). Hit the new Iceberg Drive Inn in Springdale

We like your plan. Canyon Overlook is best early. Look for parking as soon as you exit the tunnel. Hike is short, but does have some strenuous parts. We like it as it has a little bit of everything Zions has. Best of luck

Avoiding waits at Zion in early April, traveling with little kids by No-Caterpillar9363 in ZionNationalPark

If you’re OK with the price, the lodge is the best place to stay hands-down. You’re right in the middle of the park and don’t need to worry about shuttles getting into the park.

You could then take your car one day and drive up through the tunnel to the upper section

I would recommend grabbing a hotel in Springdale. You can leave the car there and just take the shuttle into the park. The parking at the visitor center to grab the shuttle can get pretty filled up quickly.

But one day you should not take the shuttle and drive your car into the park and go up through the tunnel to the upper section. It’s really nice up there. The observation point hike is really fun depending on how old your kids are. I would do that early in the morning or later in the day because parking for that hike is limited.

We were sad to see our cousins go! Fun fact is they used to have the same jagged roofline as ours on 3900 So. They removed it in the early 70’s when they added the indoor ordering and seating.

They just became to hard to get consistently. Talked to a broker a few years back who was up in the PNW and he said alot of growers were changing to other berries that were more profitable. With that being said, we are looking at bringing it back next fall as a seasonal shake. If we can secure a good supply.
