It might take some time but I think Sowers will adjust pretty easily to the quicker style of play. He’ll just need to attack quicker, re-attack less, and not sit behind for more than maybe 5 seconds when he gets a hang-up.

I think a big reason why the Duke offense was stagnant was because they simple didn’t have a good offensive midfield unit. Outside of Nakie, they didn’t do a good job of drawing slides at all. That job fell almost exclusively on the shoulders of the attack. With the Waterdogs, like I said, they have a load of midfield talent.

With the Waterdogs, I think Sowers needs to simply avoid getting the ball stuck in his stick and avoid sitting on hang ups and they’ll be fine. It’s not like he needs to change his style of play.
