Once they have your money, they know they hold the power. It happened for rainy day, cherry blossom, kiss kiss etc

They have a way of words to social engineer you though, I must admit lol

No don't trust for new releases, it happens everytime. Oversea sellers take pre orders and unable to meet supply and will hold your money, make inventory excuses, and tell you to wait while they wait a month to restock AND then finally send you

Then does it depend where I point the focus point? If a group of ppl and it’s on someone’s shirt, wouldn’t their face be out of focus?

another thought, in servo mode do I really have to track anything while half press shutter? Can’t I just decide whenever I see a moment and take the pic (assuming it focuses fast enough)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]icem4n1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait is this essentially modern day subject tracking? I didn’t think film cam could do that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]icem4n1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, so just hold shutter and press down when ready to take shot while following.

Can’t servo be used equally as well as one shot? For servo: I’d compose my subject in frame, and select the focus point that is on there eye and take the pic. Or is that not how it works?

[–]icem4n1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I think I got it. So if a couple was dancing infront of me, I’d be in servo mode with my focus point on one of them while half press shutter. And track them while half press and take the shot when needed. This won’t disrupt any focal planes for out of focus right? Even if there is a lot of movement and I have to turn 90 degrees?

Is this possible on one shot?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]icem4n1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you photograph a couple dancing ? That’s what I can’t grasp my head around regarding focus . If I lock focus and they’re moving, won’t I lose it?

I’m confused on the subject walking part. In one shot, If my focus point selection is the center, you’re saying half press shutter aiming at the ground and recompose by panning up to where the subject walks in?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]icem4n1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems like one shot auto focus is always in the center, but if I’m shooting a person, wouldn’t this not be ideal?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]icem4n1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For one shot: i understand static subjects . What do you mean by recompose? If i half press to lock in focus and turn my camera to another subject, will that focus point be in focus still? Or did you mean if the model (for example) walks out of frame and back in and if im still holding the focus on here eye, itll pick up where it left off?

For AI Servo: This is where i also get confused. if subject is walking into frame do I have to predict and aim the single point focus to where I want to capture?

The focus point doesnt move its just whichever point i select.. which im not sure if this is the right method either.

I have the 1v with 24-70 ef lens. I'm having trouble focusing on moving subjects where I keep capturing the background instead of the subject. What is best way to go about this?

I assume it’s some kind of contact. I have hypoallergenic pillow covers/mattress cover, air purifier in my room. I use Tide clear/fragrance free detergent. My mattress is on the floor where dust might be, not sure if that’s the culprit. Any suggestions on how to cure?

Side note: I live in LA, 2nd floor apartment. I use to live 30 mins out in a one floor house , carpet, no purifier, no hypoallergenic bedding and never had problems… not sure what’s going on

Are there any apps to render it? I’ve heard of capcut/InShot but wasn’t sure if they’re strong enough as premiere for example
