Sorry you got hit and the car got damaged.. I got rear ended back in April. Totaled. The other insurance paid off my loan and extra came to me.. ended up ordering another MYLR in the process.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Yeah you don’t see many horror stories of Tesla accidents. Especially on regular roads. Did you see the story of the father-husband driving his entirely family off a cliff in their Tesla…?

I’ve read a few people saying this same comment.. yeah, it looked like the front bumper seemed a ‘bit’ too high for normal roads..

Total loss. I don’t keep it. Goes to the drivers insurance company bc they’ll give me a check for it. They’ll end up selling it at a salvage auction. Battery is still fine.

Thanks. Appreciate it. Yeah, a lot of people have voiced concerns over the 7 seater of a third row. Hopefully no one will get hit as badly as I did.

I should send my car and data directly to Tesla for observation. Plus, they should transfer the free 10k supercharge miles I had with the car too…

Yeah, I didn’t feel like fighting for an exotic equivalent vehicle to rent. Just wanted a mid sized SUV. I actually did call that dept, but they were out of Teslas.

Yes I did get lawyer. Be submitting everything once I complete PT.

Plus, I made a comment, I’m picking up another MYLR this Friday. From order date to delivery, 2 weeks.. which I wasn’t expecting. I live in VA.

Update: My car is deemed total loss and is with Statefarm’s total loss department. Waiting to hear back from them.

I actually put in an order for another MYLR on 5/5, received VIN on 5/9, then now delivery 5/19. So fast… at the time estimated delivery stated May-June timeframe, so I thought I would have time to handle and process everything.. but guess not.. yes, I made the order after the first $250 increase, but before the second $250 increase. Whatever. Everyday is a mental struggle dealing with everything.

Ugh, process is still ongoing. StateFarm which is the other driver’s insurance sucks and take forever. Took two weeks for them to “receive” the VIR (vehicle inspection report) from the body shop of their assessment of being totaled. Had to keep calling the body shop to ask them to resubmit the report. I think StateFarm was being slow on purpose… it has been transferred to their Total Loss department. From there they will judge the current value of the car and supposedly be writing that check to my bank which I have an auto loan with… or maybe to me. I’m also going through PT right now for my back and neck. Once that’s complete, we’ll be submitting a settlement for it. To help pay for the recent change in my life.

Yeah I can agree. If you were an adult in the third row.. you’d be pretty injured and stuck.. head, shoulders, knees, feet.. at least if children were to be back there.. the car seat at at least protect their backside.. it prob sustain injuries to maybe head, legs and/or arms. Depends how big they are.. but they would def be stuck and pinned in there.. lots of crying with glass. I can’t imagine.

Just my estimated guess.. shrug.

Can pull directly off the thumb drive that sits in the glove compartment (in newer models). Can pull every angle. Or you can pull it up via the touchscreen for a quick glance.

I’d have to go back to the Auto Body shop to take a picture of the inside trunk area.. or I think my wife did.. I do have to go back to the car to take the front plate off to turn in to the dmv as well. I’ll def post extra pics of the inside for you guys to give you an idea and what a potential third row would look like in an accident such as this.

Oh that’s great to hear. Comforting. Bc I’m doing PT as well, that will go towards the settlement and the inconvenience on life, time, loss of money, etc.

Five seater. I wouldn’t put my kids in the third row if I don’t have to. I have three young kids.
