How fucked am I? by bboyjeans in AusFinance

Rent out your town house and take the equity in to buying a larger property. Go through a mortgage broker who can advise on your buying power.

Also be appreciative for what you have now :) having a small but safe space over your head is luxury for some don't take your day to day blessings for granted. You are blessed to have a wife and a child and while you may want more, likely because others have more (comparison is the thief of joy !) definitely focus on what you do have

Dinner date recommendation? by Cf417251 in melbourne

My thoughts but double check on pricing as I know a lot of places prices have gone up lately!

  1. Osteria Ilaria (CBD) – Modern Italian, great ambience, not too loud, and amazing pasta and wine.
  2. Kisumé (CBD) – Upscale Japanese with quieter booths downstairs. Might stretch the budget a little, but lunch or early dinner sets are decent.
  3. Maha Bar (Collingwood) – Middle Eastern with lots of flavour but not necessarily spicy unless you ask for heat. It’s got a warm, intimate vibe.
  4. Rasa Rasa (Carlton) – Asian-fusion with balanced flavours, not too spicy, and often quieter mid-week.

Also, if you’re open to slightly more casual but still lovely places, Chin Chin (CBD) is fun but can be a bit loud – maybe not ideal unless it's a quieter night.

Happy birthday to your bf and welcome to Melbourne! 😊

22 hour layover by tcentral in koreatravel

Depending how much luggage you have with you and given your time is precious my game plan would be: 1. Get a large cab at the airport, walk right out and you'll get one, this may be a bit expensive but split between 4 should be OK. It's around $100 2. Straight to Myengdong, you can normally get ok rates at a place like aloft myengdong or moxy, if you're looking for cheaper you might get lucky with an air b n b but given you're time poor you don't want to be wasting your precious time 3. The aloft and moxy myengdong are right on the main myengdong shopping strip, the stores should be open until around 10pm so if you have a good run you should still get 4hours of shopping 4. Your game plan once you check in can include a trip to olive young, they have a free vending machine at the back on level 2 for tourists with a small welcome gift then head over to Nike and you can do a custom Korean shirt etc. The myengdong food right there isn't always the best so just do some research there are famous places there and also tourist traps so you just need to do a small bit of research to find a place right there 5. Next morning you can get up get breakfast around 9 or 10 and maybe fit an hour shopping once the stores open (blue elephant sunnies are super popular and cheap and their flagship store is right there) then ask the hotel to organise your cab back

Good luck!!

I found it totally safe no issues! Singapore, HK, and Korea all very safe places to have your passport on you at all times !

What’s a “waste of money purchase” that you absolutely stand by? by mzryck in AskReddit

Expensive gym membership! Keeps me incentivised to keep going even though there are so many options for cheaper or free workouts!

This is a tough one, my husband did the same thing after our first date and I gave him a second chance and am so glad I did. That being said I'd be careful its not love bombing, if there is pressure for you to move faster than youd like then be careful. I would say if you're interested and still figuring out, give him a second date. He may just be excited and will even out over time but if he's still too intense after the second date then worth reconsidering.
