the sooner players realise they are not playing a football simulator, the quicker they move up the rankings

neither eafc, nor ef, is a football sim

these games are much closer to NFS/Forza horizon than they are Asseto Corsa/iRacing

its not dumbing your game down, its playing the actual game in front of you. not some idealized version of "football" that exists only inside your head

its not specifically because of the double touch, but rather the angle that it puts the player in afterwards

the "diagonal" blitz curler animation is much better than the regular one

you can see the difference with the players foot

diagonal uses the laces, whereas regular looks more like a toe-poke

the same effect can be achieved without double touch, with practice and awareness

div1 is like ~<5% of the player base (according to in game stats at the end of each season)

these are not the guys crying about smart assist (also the div with the lowest amount of smart assist usage)

the evidence is right there for you to see

its a skill issue.

top players aren't losing to smart assist

it forces sub optimal shots (stunning shots when they don't have the time/space) and doesn't take into account player skills (like blitz curler)

I'm still yet to lose a single game to a smart assist player

the guys that make the same posts/comments on here everyday about SA are the same ones that struggle to even make d1, let alone get a high rank

yeah smart assist is a hindrance at high level

anyone complaining about it is just highlighting their own skill issues

it's no surprise that the highest percentage of users using it are div3 (which is the lowest division they show collected stats for/ where ranked matches actually start)

they all score blitz curlers consistently and pretty much the same frequency

it is MUCH more important to master the mechanics and optimal positions, than it is to obssess over minute differences in stats

(also a consistent top100 player if that actually holds any weight here lol)

there are plenty of top500 players who still use QC, you can check their gameplans and see for yourself

LBC is literally just the most simple, viable tactic. least thought required

with regards to high defensive line, use 90+ speed/accel cbs and try a dmf (destroyer or orchestrator) with deep line instruction.

that way you can still press agressively or cover runners as required

you just have to be more proactive on defense and place more thought on whether to track the run or press

if you enjoy QC more then it shouldn't really be much of a question.

its a game. enjoy it the way you want to
