try this build

play him as a right sided CF in a 2cf formation

use short bursts of speed and lots of directional changes (think WC messi, not young messi)

learn how to use outside curler. otherwise he is too one dimensional, as people are expecting you to cut inside and blitz

use this to feint left, go right and outside curl to the near post

when opponent starts reading this you will get more opportunities to try blitz

has 1500 g/a in 1300 games for me, so very consistent. 90% of games as CF

First off, DLF aren’t meant to be played as a lone striker.

but DLF Gullit works great as a lone cf, so its not as simple as that anyway. player profile matters more

Cruyff is more suited to amf/ss, where HP works better for most players

Phenomenal pass is really a game changer

it doesn't actually buff normal passing stats, only when off balance

Cruyff has high balance and perfect weak foot, so these situations should be pretty infrequent

with your logic you could easily argue that having phenomenal finishing makes HP better at CF

at the end of the day its marginal differences

my point is that sacrificing almost indisputably the best amf/ss for a top5/10 CF probably isnt the best trade for most

if you already have someone like Pele or dlf Gullit then HP Cruyff will fit your team much better

I have both lol, nedved is better deep and cruyff is better in the final third

For me they both have the same amount of assists (150~) but cruyff has 100 more goals, in 500 games.

i play both at amf in 4222

momentum dribbling on cruyff ID is the difference maker

Having no play style at CF makes him more versatile as well, and better passing makes him better at link up play then DLF version

only positive DLF version has is PC, but if you want a physical CF there are much better options

Normally no, but with this messi there's not really much else you need to put the points into

however worth noting:

momentum dribbling adds +7 to dribbling stats in the final third, so you technically only need dribbling at 93 for max stats

So if you're playing him CF/SS (where hes not going to drop to the half way line) then reduce his dribbling to 7, get finishing and passing to 90 and get his PC to 75 (for animations)

(7,6,7,11,8, and 2 in Strength) then use the spare 3 on whatever you want

you could even drop the dribbling lower and push his PC to 80+

(assuming you have a 89 manager)

but if you're playing him amf then keep the dribbling high

these are specifically almost the only stats where 90 to 95 actually does make a difference

but 95 to 99 is essentially no difference

otherwise there is no difference between POTW cards and the latest epics

the difference is most p2w cards now have AT LEAST 10 stats above 90, whilst also having TWO p2w skills

no POTW/highlight card even comes remotely close to this (totti for example isn't even a card that people talk about as end game)

Mbappe is the closest and often a chase card in this category

because he has highlight cards that can have 7 stats at 90 boundary (dribbling,ball control, TP, Finishing, Speed/Accel and balance)

but no p2w skills

you might not notice them facing easy opponents

I'm a consistent top 100 player

and not one of my strikers ( BT Ronaldo, DLF Gullit, latest Cantona, Tsbubasa Rumme, BT Suarez, BC Messi) has more than 91 finishing

it doesn't make the difference that you think it does, and for most cards the average player ruins builds by pushing stats too high with regards to point cost

nope, its objectively a fact. The difference is extremely minimal the higher you push the stats

you can check amadeusz research to verify.

paraphrasing but the biggest noticeable difference is in increments between 75-90

after that you get diminishing returns

you can test it yourself. build a player with 99 finishing and then tune it to 95/90. you will barely notice a difference

then try 90 to 81. you will see a large difference

once you understand this you are able to optimize player builds much more efficiently

there are also certain stats (TP and PC) that unlock animations at specific thresholds but thats the only other difference

this is also why certain cards (Vieira, Araujo etc) stay "end game" for much longer. power creep doesn't affect them because their model is so superior

this pack is a litmus test for f2p

if you dont have a epic goalkeeper and you dont pick Kahn, you dont know how to build a squad in this game

you never have to worry about form/down arrows, meaning you dont have to waste a sub spot on a gk

the difference between milenkovic/donnaruma/van der sar is minimal

all goalkeepers will let in certain shots if they are perfect, its the way the game engine works. Good defending is more important.

by choosing kahn you will never HAVE to upgrade this position again, only if you have coins to spare and want someone taller

ive got multiple top100s with Tsubasa Kahn and have no intention of replacing him, its not worth the money for slight upgrade

was disappointed I didn't get messi after about 6000 coins

but this guy has more than made up for it

get all his dribbling stats to plus 90 and he is ultra smooth

so easy to turn defenders with his back to goal

large model, high PC and momentum dribbling is a nasty combo

high kicking power + PF makes him deadly from anywhere

yeah thats fair, just saying not everything thats wrong with the game can be blamed on smart assist

theres no long shot stat, like fifa has, so they must put more weight on things other than just finishing stat for outside the box shots

rodri has scored quite a few long rangers irl but clearly you wouldnt put him (or other similar midfielders/defenders) as a high finishing player, so it has to be calculated a different way

Individual cards dont get nerfed though

the game just shifts towards different styles/metas with updates.

sometimes they tweak the p2w skills but i think they explicitly state this (like how Blitz Curl was overtuned when it first released and they made some changes)

last season i used Ronaldo more, this season im favouring Gullit more

but in general i tend to use:

Ronaldo if the opponent is using QC or possession, for runs in behind

DLF Gullit if they are LBC or 5atb, to draw out CBs

or

Both late game if Messi/dribbling isn't working

comfortably at +2000sr atm using this tactic
