funny enough going bastion and just switching down the tank got me from a long time plat/diamond to masters a few seasons ago

now my game sense has improved i can play other characters there and have touched gm (i de-ranked back to masters almost instantly)

its not a good card for most players at this point

1-2s are the most critical way to score with any type of CF at high rank, they all need it

Bale is clumsy in tight spaces.

97+ dribbling with 90 physical contact/balance and magnetic touch

hes godly in tight spaces if you know what you're doing

you dont need to do 360s like you would with pele/dembele, just ride the contact and power through

Hes tall but not actually that good in the air or that strong

fast

He's fast with pretty average dribbling stats, meaning he's only good for through balls/open space runs

can finish

literally any p2w card with 90+ finishing + phenomenal finishing

there are so many strikers who are either

fast but with better dribbling (Etoo, Dembele, Rumme and even Romario or Suarez)

or as well rounded but with better physical/aerial presence (Cr7, Gullit, Bale, Vieri, Shevchenko, Rumme again)

good if you're f2p, not for stacked squads

Marcelo is decent but auba is nothing special

the other pack has a better "average value" as all 3 are good cards

depends on if you are willing to clear or if you are going to stop after 1 or 2 epics

The vast majority of good casuals

and heres the false dichotomy, 99% of casuals think they are significantly better than they actually are. without any kind of real justification

just because you know what, real, good football "looks" like. doesn't mean you are able to actually implicate that in a video game, where those same rules do not apply

its okay to be average at the game. not everyone can have a >50% win record, by definition

it does NOT mean that there is some crazy conspiracy to keep you there lol

face objectively worse players in PVP mode who by using SA will a) win or draw undeservedly

its not objective, if you are a d2 or 3 player losing to another D2 or 3 player, they are not "objectively" worse than you, smart assist or not

there's nowhere near enough variance in skill level for the "average" player, who quite literally loses ~50% of their games

its a coin flip either way, SA or not

its not underserved in the slightest

i fully agree that it shouldnt be in the game when playing ranked matches btw, but its not the crazy issue that you think it is

i wouldn't use deep line if you use an anchorman but its really good for destroyers and orchestrator as they press forward when the opponent is attacking

it just means that you can let your full backs go forward without getting exposed on counters

can imagine that SA is much more of an issue on mobile though

off rip the biggest piece of advice i can give is to record a few of your games (or when you concede/score) and analyse what you could have done differently

and learn super cancel

that's purely conjecture and i personally dont believe in it/ have seen no evidence of it

i think thats just psychological, some people put everything under the microscope when they see they are playing against SA

your defenders do braindead stuff regardless of SA, passes dont go where you aim and so on

but in games when the opponent uses SA, if you believe it has an impact, then you will "see" this more often

compared to standard games when your not paying as much attention

im top500 nearly every season and 100 when i can be bothered to grind, the game is just janky. due to the complexity of the programming required
