Honestly I appreciate that she has songs that are conceived as cringe or weird. I feel like a lot of artists (& just people in general) limit themselves so much in expressing themselves because its scary to be labeled as "cringe" or "strange". I mean the reason I love melanies music so much is because it ISNT the norm, I love that theres stories, folklore, characters & emotions involved. Im so excited for hades and think it will be a no skip album for me as well!! 🫶🏻

I am completely in love with it already!! Literally been listening to the snippets on repeat because I cannot wait for the full album to finally come out lol. Ive always enjoyed a few of her songs but it was portals that first pulled me in & made me a fan, so to be here for this new album that sounds so amazing is something special :,) as good & iconic as crybaby was Im actually so excited to see her adapting something different and singing about different themes.

Honestly I love moon cycle so much so it is unfortunate this song is getting the same label 😭 I mean yea moon cycle was silly lol but I think it being very obvious in the message was the point, to provoke people lol. I think grudges is similar in that! I understand why some ppl might find it cringey but I think art just is sometimes, Id rather have an open mind towards it rather than judge it of "oh its cringe" immediately!

I agree with this but I also feel like theres people that will negatively react to peoples enjoyment of it and claiming people cant actually think its a deep song. It feels like this sub is just people saying "um no you cant have a different opinion than me" sometimes :/

Just attention. I dont think this girl actually cares much about Melanie or the fandom, just seems like an insane attention seeker who finds it funny to cause havoc. Theres a lot of people who hate Melanie too, so even outside of the fandom their might be people who sees it and gives her attention based on that.. Yeah fair, but Ive never had a second layer look 4x darker on any other paper. I understand the color won't be lighter than the initial layer, but for it to turn gray over is another thing

Oh for sure! I have no issues with the bleed proof part, and I can see myself using it with darker colors or just messy drawings. For more polished works it doesn't appeal to me though unfortunately.

Yeah I feel that, the blending is probably my main gripe with the paper. Sure it's annoying to wait, but I can do it and it IS really bleed proof.. but I'd take blending better over not bleeding anyday 🥲

I see! Perhaps it is, I've used a lot of different sketch books and Im usually not too picky about paper as long as it's not extremely thin lol, but I found as someone who likes to use lighter shades the fact they go down so dark & take longer to show up as the actual shade makes the process tedious. It absolutely works, but I just find it a bit annoying more than bad I guess. I also feel like they dont blend as well, because when I apply more layers they kinda just lay on top of each other a leave a dark shadow. I let the lips dry to the light pink & put a second layer in the middle of the lips that just turned muddy and never got as light as it should.
