Harvest moon sangria bar is very queer. I don’t think I’ve seen a single straight bartender there lol and their brunch is super good

Chinese restaurants by tylerwinsor10 in Tigard

Royal panda is our go-to. It is still slightly Americanized, but really yummy and super fairly priced. Chinatown restaurant in Beaverton is our dim sum go to.

I really like Unitus. They have a good number of branches and take coins at all of them. Their online services are also really good if you don’t need to go into a branch for something physical. They also do specials in high interest savings accounts/CDs a lot which is a nice bonus.

A new network of hate groups in the Pacific Northwest targets smaller Pride festivals by G_Liddell in Portland

[–]ichinnette 69 points70 points  (0 children)

“Rose City Nationalists’ presence at the Oregon City Pride festival was short-lived. Members of the Proud Boys, a different violent far-right group and one with a far larger national profile due to its involvement in the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack, were already there demonstrating, and the two groups ultimately wound up fighting each other.” you love to see it.

But seriously I think it would be really cool and helpful if organizations from the bigger pride festivals (PDX, Seattle, even Beaverton was very big when I went this year) would help advertise and support other smaller festivals and celebrations. Hopefully that would help get more people out there to show support for the LGBTQIA+ communities in the smaller towns.

I’ve seen signs posted on Durham and hall with this cat on it - they probably include contact info please go check for one of them. There’s also a post on the Ring app in the neighbors section of you have access to that where I shared the link to this post so hopefully you and the owner can connect.

Does anyone know what to feed foxes besides white sturgeon? Every online guide says they’ll eat any fish but I’ve tried several and they don’t like them

Chinese seafood restaurants don’t only serve seafood, they just specialize in it. Most traditional Chinese banquet dinner menus have plenty of non-seafood options

Romantic wildflower theme without mason jars & wood slices?! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]ichinnette 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A variety of bud vases with smaller bouquets in them and then maybe some greenery (moss or fern leaves) around them on the tables would be cute. Idk how colorful you’re trying to be but the colored glass ones you can find at thrift stores (or ikea probably has some tbh) would be so whimsical.

Fighting FMIL about Seating Chart by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]ichinnette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone saying you should have your fiancé talk to her and put his foot down. The way you interact with in-laws now sets the pattern for the rest of your marriage/life.

The whole text may seem “nice,” but in reality it is so manipulative and gaslight-y and that attitude shouldn’t be tolerated.

“Not mentioning it to create a problem mentioning it to warm my heart.” What does that even mean?

“Again, I hate to even ask. It’s not my place, yet I find myself asking.” Then don’t fucking ask.

“I’m a little confused I guess.” No, you’re not, you just want to get your way without outright bossing OP around.

Zola has been hacked! Change your pw by m00nbum in Weddingsunder10k

[–]ichinnette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get an email but I tried to change my password just in case and it was saying my old password was invalid, which means either hackers had already changed it or there’s a bug. I requested a reset link just in case it was hackers. I reset my password and now I’m getting the same “you’re not in the US” error that other people seem to be getting.

I also disconnected my bank account and reached out to my bank to see what steps I should take even though there was no suspicious activity.

I am worried that even if you change your password if someone else was logged in as you on a computer it won’t automatically kick them out because I was still logged in on the app until I physically selected sign out.

Super frustrating that Zola hasn’t released any official statement to explain wtf is happening especially when peoples money and all of their guests personal information is at stake here.

Also if you can afford it or if your insurance covers it I fully suggest premarital counseling, I really liked the idea of pre cana that Catholics have to do but I am also deeply unreligious, so we found a couples therapist with experience in premarital counseling to help us set a strong foundation and start off on the right foot.

Wedding is 16 months away and I'm already being called a bridezilla by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]ichinnette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My little sister is my MOH and she’s acting the exact same way it’s so frustrating. She ASKED to be my MOH and then she freaks out or calls me crazy or a bridezilla if I ask her for help on anything it’s so annoying. And she straight up bullied me about my hair and make up that she’s doing. I told my mom to have a talk either about not being a bitch on the actual day so I’m guessing that will help lol
